“Fantastic Stay in Bali Paradise”

We had really perfect time in Marinaki Studious at Bali village. The host Tula was very nice and friendly, she made everything for our comfortable stay. The apartments are very spacious and convenient for the families. The kitchen is well equipped with all necessary staff, so we could easily cook for ourselves. Food and drinks and also some local craft products you can find around the village, not far from the apartments. We had no need to use air conditioner in July because the layout of the room allows the air go through and it was highly refreshing and we didn't feel summer heat. The beaches are very close to the Studios. Tula was very kind to give us extra beach umbrella for use. There is good bus connection between Bali village and Heraclion/Chania, so you can get easily everywhere across Northern coastline. The way from Bali bus stop to Marinaki Studious will take you around 30 minutes by foot. But if you want to have some fun you can get there by Bali Sightseeing Train which start station is located right behind the bus stop. There is a schedule and it goes once per hour. We are very grateful to Tula and her daughter Maria for so warm hosting and all our wonderful memories about Crete!

Excellent location! Beaches as well as convenience store & eateries in walking distance.

The owner is a very kind lady and her husband. She has been really kind and this made my stay very pleasant. I needed something and she has been generous to me. I was greeted with a really tasty cake so this made me feel welcomed. Apartment was clean and all worked in order this made my stay a great experience also it's truly important to me that they had all the cooking gear, oil and salt. I was really pleased to find some tea and cofee to last me 1st day until I rested to get my own. I wish them good health and many years!!

Excellent stay. The hosts were extremely kind, offered me delicious cake, and were very helpful.

A very good budget choice. Large rooms, the furniture is not new, but everything is in a good condition (and looks better live than on the pictures). Even rooms advertised as without view have a bit of sea view from the balcony. The host is a very nice and welcoming lady.

“Well-run hotel in the best area of Bali.”

It's a typical Greek family run hotel, friendly owners, spotlessly clean, big rooms, nice views (though upper floors have the best views). Definitely in the best location, near the village and equidistant to all the beaches. I would have been disappointed with Bali if i had been staying near the main beach with the slightly tackier development and all-inclusive hotels, but the area near the village is lovely and the scenery is spectacular. I did notice that during my stay there weren't many other guests... i think that's a shame because compared with a lot of Bali hotels, Marinakis has a lot of advantages. Obviously if you like a more packaged experience, which i know suits many families, then there are other options in Bali, but if you like a well run traditional Greek hotel with large rooms, that's what Marinakis is, and it should be doing better business than it was during the month i stayed there. So if you are on the fence, i'd say go for it. I know Crete quite well and Bali is in my opinion the most beautiful resort near Heraklion/Rethymnon, with great beaches (can be crowded but there are quiet areas too and a few hikable beaches outside the resort) and a stunning natural setting, and it's very easy to get to Rethymnon/Chania by bus for a day out too.

The location is amazing! You are so close to the four beaches in Bali and to all of the restaurants/shops! The hosts were very kind and welcoming.

The rooms are simple but very OK for what is needed in a holiday. Very kind hosts, even if they don't speak English very well. I was awaited with a small bottle of raki, chocolate wafers and a bottle of cold water in the fridge :-). The location is very good, being located approximately in the center of the town, a short distance from all the beaches and sights. Supermarket very close. 4 Beaches at a distance of 3...10 min. walking. Restaurants also at short distances. There is also a children's school next door, but it doesn't bother you at all, there aren't many or noisy children. They are actually quite nice. The room being on the first floor had very nice views to the sunrise and to the beach in the bay. The trash can was emptied daily and sheets and towels were changed every 3 to 4 days. I recommend it to everyone who wants to spend their money on fun on vacation and doesn't expect a 4-5 star hotel.

“My main impression - I want to come here again next sommer”

This was an absolutely confortable stay. The place itself (Bali) so beautiful and attractive and the hotel's location is right in the middle of it with everything (beach, supermarket, travel agency, car rental, local train stop, sea port, tavernas) in 3-5 minutes walk distance. Lovely host Tula has become a good friend of me. Will certainly recommend the Marinakis studios to everyone, who prefers home-like stay in a small and cosy apartment to all-inclusive hotel comfort.

The staff were really friendly and genuinely welcoming. Great location, the studio was bigger than it looked like from the photos.

“Apartment is much better than a hotel room”

Apartment overlooking the sea to the left, mountains to the front and beach to the right. Fully equipped studio apartment, room cleaned twice a week, fresh bedding and towels. Walking distance to 4 beautiful beaches and bars and restaurants. There is a steep hill up to the apartment. Cake and raki in the room on arrival fromToula and Markos, they are so friendly and welcoming so take time to have a lovely Greek coffee and biscuits with them. Markos is so efficient any maintenance is the room is put right immediately.
