“Historic homestead provides comfort and quiet.”
Generous proportioned room with all the comforts needed after a long day travelling. We made the most of the hot tub and appreciated the little touches of warm, fluffy robes and drinks station.

Great room and the complimentary beer and softdrinks was great. I didn't use the spa and sauna and would have if I stayed longer. I liked the chocolates and coffee machine, with biscuits.

A beautiful location with stunning views and a charming old home that is immaculately maintained. The freshly baked bread for breakfast was absolutely divine and such a special touch. The hosts were warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. We had a wonderful stay.

“A lovely Edwardian House, beautiful gardens, clean and elegant.”
Loved the room, the size of the bed, the quality of the linen, and the supplied bathrobes. The sauna and hot tub were amazing. The staff friendly. The pillows were comfy....but not the mattress. It was lovely having the tea and coffee area and the drinks fridge available 24/7.

This was a lovely old house and with impressive and large bedrooms in a quiet country side area. It is a little unusual in not having en suite bathrooms but this was fully explained at booking time and in great communication with the owners after. The shower in the bathroom was one of the best I've used in my travels around NZ! The book with the history of the house and families who had lived there was great to see, too. The home made breads available for breakfast were delicious.

“Really lovely, restful, peaceful.”
The property, room and facilities were great, I was taken aback with the separate bathroom facilities, although private and beautifully done they are separate from the bedroom, not ensuite style, I didn't read the description properly so wasn't aware prior to arrival. That being said, the room was beautiful, breakfast was really good and the property being outside of town was incredibly quiet.

It is the most delightful place to stay. The house, furnishings, facilities and gardens are fabulous. The breakfast is very good and made more special by having home-made bread and preserves.
