Nice location on edge of Bagnolles - Northern France's equivalent of the English spa town of Harrogate. Posh haven for the more mature ladies of leisure seeking toy boys or 'water' treatments . . . La Tesse is a delightful hotel surrounded by greenery and a paddock at the back with a small flock of sheep who do a masterful job of lawnmowing. Nice simple ensuite bedroom with VERY comfy bed, good restaurant with simple but first-class food and a fair breakfast, with full cooked if that's your bag. Delightful proprietor and a very fair modern upright piano which guests are welcome to use.

“Perfectly OK for a one night stop en route. Wouldn't stay longer.”
Good food, both dinner and breakfast. Proprietor and staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy but rather old fashioned. Pleasant dining room area. Nice countryside away from the town.

Very warm welcome. The restaurant was closed as our stay was out of season but the proprietor offered to drive us into the centre and come and pick us up afterwards at no extra charge. Excellent service.
