Set in a private nature reserve in Mpumalanga, Forest Creek Lodge offers contemporary accommodation, a picnic area and a spa bath set in the bush. Along with old-world furnishings and luxury bedding, each room is fitted with satellite TV, a mini bar and fluffy bath robes. The self catering cottage includes a seating area, a fireplace and a kitchenette. Forest Creek also features an elegant spa facility located in the forest. The lodge also has its own bottled water, taken from a nearby spring. The lodge is within driving distance of the Kruger National Park and Sudwala Caves. Dullstroom is 60 km away, while Lydenburg is 35 km from the property.

“Unspoiled piece of paradise.”
We stayed in the self-catering forest cabin, which is pet friendly. Our second visit there. I wanted to experience Forest Creek during the rainy season. (Our first visit was in September 2023). The scenery in the forest is spectacular. The trials are fairly easy. We could not cross the stream this time to visit the waterfall as the current was too strong. The cabin is rustic, but still comfortable. Our furr-baby enjoyed the freedom as much as we did. (Just take precautions for ticks). I cannot comment on the spa as we did not make use of it. The staff were found to be friendly and helpful. This place is a piece of paradise, and comes well recommended.

The view was exelint.staff was exelint. Whe got full of tiks on the hiking traile. Tha gas stove got no gas whenwhe whant to make coffee the morning when whe whoke up.and the night when we arived there was no worm water and in the morning till the after noon. The bar only have limet stock. Only 3 bears and no propper drinks.even soft drinks.did not even got the room that we booked.

The hiking trail to the waterfall at the mountains was a great and mind opening experience, loved and appreciated the experience. The forest was easy to walk through and safe. The fairy 🧚♀️ sisters were taking good care of us😊. Thank you for the great experience and looking forward to another visit 😀 😊.

“absolutely stunning place ,gets you a little out off your comfort zone”
Forest cottage is very private, right in the forest. it’s absolutely beautiful. no signal at all can’t be bothered with calls and messages. The romantic gazebo dinner is fantastic. we will definitely be back it’s breathtaking.

“Such an amazing getaway... peaceful and tranquill”
Their baked omelette was diving. All the food was divine actually and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The place is very secluded, so ideal to getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday work. Will definitely visit again.
