A lovely hotel located in a quiet area of Bad Schandau, yet still within walking distance of the river promenade. The hotel restaurant is also open for dinner and serves very tasty meals. To be honest, finding a decent restaurant in Bad Schandau can sometimes be quite a challenge, so this was a big advantage. There is a large parking area conveniently located right in front of the hotel. A special historical touch for Czech visitors is that Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk stayed several times in the building next door. Plus, the lady at the reception desk is Czech.

“Good place to stay for one night”

The room was spacious and the house is located at a very quiet street.

Perfect place to spend a few nights to explore the area. It's very close to the tram that goes up to various hiking start points, and it's also just a short walk to the center of town. We had a wonderful room overlooking the Kurpark. We came by bike, and there was secure storage. We also had two delicious dinners at the hotel's restaurant. Overall, I would very easily recommend staying here.

“Very helpful staff, nice restaurant but a big challenge when arriving by train”

Hotel room is basic but staff members allow us to use the kitchen for making tea and coffee. No fridge. Hotel has a nice restaurant. Hotel staff was very nice by offering to take us to the train station on departure

The best accommodation, I have experienced recently. The hotel is super clean, new furniture, great location - in the park, quiet place, very comfortable beds, delicious breakfast. There is bike storage in the hotel.

Very valuable and particular attention by owner and personnel to my health problem caused by an accident. Medical care was greatly facilitated.

Warm welcome from staff some of whom spoke English. Spacious comfortable room, quiet, lift, parking, good breakfast, warm room, good view of the park from the room. Short walk to town centre. Departure for historic tram Kirnitzschtalbahn close. Short walk to the iron lift Personenaufzug. Highly recommended.

“A haven in beautiful country”

Great quiet location in Saxon Switzerland. Lots of places to go, cute tram that goes up the valley (Lichtenhainer Waterfall - not much water in this so it was a bit disappointing) - can use this to open up more walk options. We had a car but the bus options look good too, or the steamers/train to Dresden. Had good meals in the restaurant too.

Nice place, at the northern most tip of Bad Schandau centre, to enjoy a stopover while hiking in the area ! Respect for the ladies who run the place: from reception, to serving, to cooking, to cleaning. Room as stated on website. Mattress so/so (soft) in our opinion, but that is subjective. Spacious and clean. Well sorted buffet breakfast in seperate room on 1st floor. Cosy bar / restaurant downstairs for diner & drinks (we had both and can recommend eating in: nothing fancy but well prepared !). Nice to stroll in the Kurpark across the hotel or into the city (500m ?) after diner. Terrace outside in front of the hotel. Storage facility for bikes on site. We enjoyed our stay !
