Excellent hotel, with splendid decoration and beautiful rooms, in the very style of a "Jagdhaus". Breakfast is simply superb, nothing better ever. Dinner on the other hand we only had for one evening and was good but not in sink with the very high quality of the hotel and of the rooms, breakfast, spa, surroundings.

Beautiful setting in nature, charming property with good spa facilities and a quality restaurant. The hotel is clean and the staff is polite and helpful when asked questions.

Fantastic hotel, fantastic rooms, facilities, great staff. One of the few hotels that feel like coming home and where you feel the owners and staff want to make your stay to feel like a personal experience. We were back after 5 years and promised to make this an annual return. If not more frequently!

Sensational hotel, the drive is so picturesque, and the historic hotel spell-bound. The staff are infinitely helpful. The lobby / fireplace is enchanting, the rooms magical and the bar / restaurants out of a swiss / hallmark movie. Breakfast is an elaborate and elegant affair, I look forward to returning!

The staff were exceptional - the chef translated the menu into English for us and helped with the gluten free options. The standard of food served was outstanding - well done Jagdhof Glashütte!

“Fairytale stay”

Great getaway. When you arrive you are greeted with a welcoming drink. The breakfast is excellent, the rooms are big and the staff is friendly. You can have a snack/baked goodies with some drinks at the fireplace. The minibar is free. All of the small personalised touches make it extra special.

“Lovely German Märchen Hotel”

This hotel is really amazing. In the mountain, suddenly appears a Märchen Hotel. I can imagine this is the best place to escape from the daily life and to relax yourself. Unfortunately, I couldn’t enjoy “Kamin” because I arrived relatively late but this “Kamin” room looks very cozy. I had a dinner there and it tasted great. Breakfast is also fantastic. I stayed there for the business trip but I would love to stay there as private next time.

A fairytale hotel. Exceptional authenticity of the interior and exterior of this building. I have visited many modern hotels, but I have never seen such an atmosphere. The rooms are clean and spacious with a free mini bar and a comfortable bed. The breakfast was exceptional in a beautiful atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to try the food prepared by top chef Petar. If you are in this part of Germany this hotel is a must visit.

“Unforgettable experience”

I used to visit Jagdhof Glasshutte every summer and it was comforting to see after a couple of years absence that not much had changed. Quiet and romantic location, beautiful decor, swimming pool, superb breakfast. It's a place which one does not want to leave...

we arrived late due to a flat tyre. We got an amazing meal with a super glass of German wine!

“The owners used intimidation and fear to make us pay the abusive bill at check-out!!”

We were scared and shocked when we left the hotel after check out. We had a few very disappointed experiences during our week end, especially at the restaurant which was an absolute shame. We complained during our stay but received no signs of understanding , nothing from the hotel was done to fix our issues. At check out, we were charged on top of our stay 8 euros for music at dinner, 45 euros for energy costs, and zero compensation for our horrible dinner ( which we complained from the fist day). We said that it is illegal to charge extra costs on top of the reservation made on Booking .com. The owner came very loud and rude that we must pay our fish (even if it was raw, bad quality and 1h30 waiting) and we must pay the extra charges. Then his wife came screaming at us because we drink the FREE minibar during the weekend, and she wanted to open our luggage to see if we did not take the empty bottles (which we gave to the cleaners). They called 8 people of their staff to go around us at the reception to make pressure on us to pay all, we were scared and in panic. We paid all and left. We immediately contacted Booking.com for help, they refund us the extra costs, and ensure us it is not allowed to do so. The hotel lied to Booking .com, when they called them, they said that we had an upgrade, which is absolutely a lie, we have pictures of our room which are identical as we reserved. The hotel was uncapable of taking a little complain, they defend. they are only focus on money not on the hospitality. They do not act at all like in a 5 stars hotel. We felt so bad, we did not know that we could experience such a scary behavior in an hotel. On top of that, our bed was very uncomfortable. The bar at the hotel was closed. The prices for food and drinks are very very expensive. Communication with management is impossible. The staff at the restaurant is unexperienced and missing training. Unfriendly personal. We came for our wedding anniversary, nothing was done for us.
