Located next to the nice park. Just outside the window of our bedroom there was a big tree with green leafs that created a cozy and fresh atmosphere in the room. The sleeping was perfect. The room was clean and had all the necessities. We were served with a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival from their own wine yard. The breakfast on the terrace with a view to the park was fantastic. All personnel was very attentive and positive.

Conviently placed. Nice clean room.no real ‘charm’ but this is not what you expect from this kind of hotel

The room was large and comfortable with plenty of room to move about. Everything was very clean. The breakfasts were good with a fair amount of choice. The surrounding area and town was lovely with two parks and several shops and cafes nearby. We were in a good location to visit many areas in the Black forest and not too far from Freudenstat ( lovely town) and Heidelburg (lovely town) Also fairly near to the B500 road which we had planned on driving on. Baden Baden was near as well.

“Receptionist barked at us that we couldn't stay...”

After a long and tiring journey, we walked into the hotel only to be told by the receptionist that we couldn't stay there because we had not told them in advance that we would be bringing a dog. I had chosen the hotel especially because it claimed to be pet-friendly. Thankfully, another colleague intervened and they decided to give us a room, but informed us that we would not be allowed to leave our dog alone in the room (which we have done many times before) and that we would need to keep the dog with us at all times, even in the restaurant, where would have to sit in a far corner away from the other guests. Needless to say, we did not feel welcome. The breakfast was limited in the choices it offered. No croissants, the fruit salad came out of a tin and nobody offered us any hot food. The glasses in the room had not been washed properly and there was toothpaste residue in the bottom.
