Overview
This family-run hotel is set in a half-timbered building directly on the historic market square in Bacharach. The Altkölnischer Hof is an ideal base for exploring the UNESCO Middle Rhine Valley. The non-smoking rooms of the Altkölnischer Hof Bacharach feature a country-style design and traditional wooden furniture. All include a satellite flat-screen TV and a private bathroom, and WiFi is also available in all areas free of charge. A breakfast buffet is served each morning in the elegant restaurant. Regional Rhineland fish, game and roast specialities can be enjoyed here or on the terrace. Nearby hiking trails include the Rheinsteig and the Rhein-Burgen-Weg (Rhine castles trail). The world-famous Lorelei Rock is just 11 km away. The hotel's car park is located 150 metres away. Bacharach Train Station is just 400 metres from the Altkölnischer Hof. Hahn Airport, Koblenz and Wiesbaden can all be reached within a 45-minute drive.

“Nice stopover. The village is right in the Rhine. Amasing views from the top of the mountain.”
Old style German property in the centre of the village. We had room with balcony. The breakfast is amasing as the Germans always do. The room had so many plugs, even in the safe😉 which was by the way enormous .

We stayed in one of the hotel's apartment and it is brilliant. Pretty much all you need on a holiday. The only thing that will make it better is probably an aircon - when hot we had to open the windows and with trains going and windows facing the beergarden and some local car repair shop it was not quiet. But the rest was top notch - location in the middle of the town is brilliant, space is definitely better than any hotel and highly recommended for a few days stay.

“Best Hotel in Bacharach - Definitely coming back!”
Location was ideal - easy walk to restaurants, historic sites, Rhine river, vehicle parking lot was very close and secure. Staff were amazing! Dining room was cosy & elegant. Tablecloths, candles. Breakfast was fantastic. There was a little slate board with your surname on it for your breakfast and dinner table. Dinner was delicious. Elevator to the rooms was handy with heavy suitcases. Large balcony allowed us to appreciate the surroundings and indulge in a cocktail.

“A friendly, family run hotel in a great location”
We arrived on a very rainy day! We knew we were much too early to check in, but the staff took pity on us and let us check in and go straight to our room! The room was warm and exactly what we needed! Great location, great dinner in the restaurant and a really good breakfast buffet the following morning.

“Lovely apartment in a beautiful town on the Rhine. Would highly recommend.”
The apartment was just along the street from the main hotel in the centre of Bacharach. It was spacious, clean, extremely well equipped and very comfortable. Pre-booked parking was available in the secure hotel car park which was €6 per night. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Bacharach was an ideal place to explore the middle Rhine region with plenty of vineyards and castles to see.
