A great location - a very short walk to the centre of town and an even shorter walk to our boat trip out on the lake! The pool was lovely and our apartment was very clean and spacious.

This is a small, intimate boutique hotel 1 block from the lagoon. The hotel and pool are kept very clean and secure at all times. The staff are very friendly with good English. There is a separate parking lot nearby. Although small. quality is evident. I traveled alone and so took the smallest room, The Colibri. It had everything for a comfortable stay, including a jug of drinking water to refill your bottle. I was greeted by name in a sweet handwritten note "Welcome to your home in Bacalar". Every morning I woke up to cooing doves, not traffic. These simple touches, great accommodation and staff, nearby restaurants make Suites Bacalar a great choice.

“Great hotel, amazing staff and beautiful Bacalar!”

I had a great stay at this hotel. It is located about 18 minutes walk from the ADO bus station, however you also have options for taxis at about 50-70 MXN, which I chose as it was very hot when I got there. There is no uber in Bacalar but there is a WhatsApp number you can get text and get a taxi quite quickly. Reception can also help you calling one. I was in the small suite (Colibri), which was small but had everything I needed, included a coffee machine, glasses, mugs, fridge, ceiling fan, AC, hair dryer and shampoo. The bed was very comfortable. The common area is very green and relaxing, with a swimming pool. The staff was great, every single one of them was so polite, kind and helpful. The location was perfect, just a few minutes walk from the main square, with options for restaurants. Bacalar is a wonderful and quite place, and staying at this hotel made my stay even more special. I totally recommend this place!

Oasis Bacalar is one of those places that really goes above and beyond. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. To start off with I had great communication from the team before I even arrived via WhatsApp and they send you a great PDF of recommendations for how to spend your time in Bacalar. The hotel itself is lovely with the pool and all the beautiful greenery around it. The location is great very close to the lagoon and the Ecology Park which is a really beautiful place to swim and sunbathe. Many nice restaurants and cafes nearby. Staff were always very polite and friendly. Karla helped me organise a boat trip on the lagoon and organised a driver to take me to visit the ruins at Ichkabel, which I really appreciated. I had the small single room, but was perfect for me and my needs. I loved the addition of the nice coffee machine, the barrel of drinking water and the mini fridge. I would not hesitate to recommend oasis Bacalar. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Our apartment was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location is great – just a short walk to the lagoon – and the pool was perfect for cooling off and spending some quiet time during the day. Even before our arrival, communication with the accommodation was excellent, especially with the manager Esteban, who was very helpful and responsive. During our stay, the entire staff made us feel very welcome. A special thanks goes to Carla and Mario, who were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Overall, we had a lovely time in Bacalar and would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a friendly, well-located stay with a great atmosphere and caring staff.

“Great location, great accommodation and delightful staff”

For us, Oasis Hotel and Suites was perfect accommodation. The location was excellent as the lagoon was close by as were shops and a good selection of restaurants. However, after two weeks of travelling around the Yucatan Peninsula we were really looking forward to self catering for a few days and Oasis allowed us to do that. Our studio apartment was spacious with the bedroom sectioned off from the dining and seating areas which we liked. The kitchen was well equipped with a full size fridge and large freezer, a microwave, a 4 burner gas hob, a cafetière plus cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. There was a large drinking water dispenser for our use and a lot of thought had gone into the apartment including plants and a lovely personalised welcome message. The bed was large and comfortable and the A/C was very efficient. There was an excellent level of cleanliness throughout the property and although breakfast wasn’t included, Steven would make arrangements for you at a nearby café. All staff were courteous, professional and friendly and had a very good knowledge of the local area. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

“Perfect hotel in Bacalar”

I love this welcoming, cozy hotel a few blocks from the town square, and a block from the Laguna. Everything was sparkling clean and the rooms have a fridge, microwave and complimentary drinking water and coffee as well as a ceiling fan and A/C. The pool is wonderful. The staff are very friendly and helpful - they advised me on swimming spots and local tours, and arranged my taxi to Chetumal airport for me, so kindly. I had the single room, which was perfect for me. I will come back with the whole family and book one of the full size suites, they look great too! Thank you, Hotel & Suites Oasis!

Absolutely perfect apartment with everything you could need plus lovely pool

We had the Suite and it was awesome. You don't need to cook for yourself, a lot of restaurants are near. Beds are good, pool is refreshing, A/C works well, but best is the team. They are so friendly, help you with everything and have a lot of tips for your trips ready. Just ask them, they will know. A big thanks especially to Steven, he's muy simpatico and relaxed. Germans don't say "Amazing!" too often, but when they do, they mean it. This one was.
