Shino san was very welcoming and made our stay pleasant. The house had plenty of space for all of us (4) and we enjoyed the kitchen/ living room with kotatsu. Comfy futon beds and warm duvets. Azumino is a great little town with plenty to see, even in winter. We were lucky to see the coming of age matsuri at Hotaka shrine.

The host is very nice and welcoming. The room itself is pretty big, more than enough for one or two people and suitcases. There is also a closet room. The kitchen has everything you need in order to cook. The location is perfect ti those who rent a car but not perfect to those who use public transportation. Overall very good.

I love how peaceful the area is. A real Japanese country house with surrounding farms & mountains view. Really is the zen that we are looking forward to. We can cook and use their living room which is really helpful.

We loved meeting Shino’s who was very pleasant. We enjoyed having access to the bottom level of the house, a great kitchen and dining area. It was also very helpful having a washing machine and drying room.

The owner was very accommodating. He was very welcoming and showed everything around the house. It was like living in your own home, everything was available for your convenience and very clean. Wished we stayed longer.

The house was very nice and our room spacious with comfortable futons ! Good facilities (you'll share the bathroom with the family and there is a well equipped kitchen with all you need to cook and eat in the dining/living with TV). Hiroyuki was a really nice and friendly host, he helped us rent bikes and gave us some restaurants recommendations, always available if needed. The house is situated at about 30-40 min walk from the Toyoshina station, but the area is worth the walk (small roads surrounded by fields, paths along the riverside and very nice neighborhood and houses on the way). The area and view is beautiful surrounded by mountains. We really enjoyed staying here !

“Local experience in Azumino”

Shino is very helpful and friendly. He helped us with bikes and recommendations in the neighborhood. Expect an authentic Japanese countryside experience. The rooms were basic but everything was very clean and Shino helped us out getting settled and offered us an extra room.

Nice quiet location outside Matsumoto and close to some great hiking areas to the West. It's a Japanese traditional house therefore you need to antecipate beds on the floor and shared bathroom. Very friendly owner that explained how are where thigs are and work

We were very well looked after by the host - very very attentive. It has a very big sitting room/kitchen area and the kitchen is very well stocked. The bathroom is shared with the hosts but it was never a problem. We went 3 times and enjoyed every minute.

Mr Shino is very very accommodating and helpful. The facilities are large with a very well equipped kitchen. The bathroom is shared but there was never a problem. There are virtually no other places to stay in this area so Shino's Farm was a wonderful find. We booked in twice during our holidays as we were so comfortable here. Thank you Mr Shino for making our stay so comfortable.
