Christine was very welcoming and went above and beyond during our stay. The outside space and pool was fantastic - completely private and well equipped for a relaxing day in the sun, or for enjoying an evening with a glass of wine. Inside was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed (including very quiet aircon). The location is very quiet, and not too far from various towns and villages (Minerve in particular is a must-visit). Both Carcassonne and the Mediterranean are within an hour's drive too.

“Just perfect!”

We had an amazing relaxing holiday here. The pool (length approx. 12m) is maintained at just the right temperature (not too cold) and was kept very clean on a continuous base. The cottage was also very clean and featured a modern shower (especially for French standards) and a very well-stocked kitchen (it contained every appliance one could possibly need during a holiday). The space of the cottage was just right for the two of us and the bed was perfect; my girlfriend likes softer beds, whereas I like them to be a little more supporting: this one just hit the sweet spot. This cottage was the perfect base camp for our adventures in the surrounding area, with sufficient interesting sites to visit (e.g., Carcassonne, the Chateaux de Lastours, Minerve, or one (or more!) of the many wineries) The main feature of this cottage, however, is its host. She is a very amiable French lady who kept the cottage and the surrounding area extraordinarily clean and shared a lot of interesting tips to visit in the vicinity. She respects the privacy of the guests, while being available for an entertaining conversation at pretty much any time of the time should you wish to have a quick talk. As said, this place allowed us to completely relax and we will certainly return!

We had a wonderful 2 nights in this charming gite. Our host, Christine, was so friendly and helpful and the quiet little village is a great location for exploring the beautiful area. The outside spaces are fabulous, especially the swimming pool.

We really enjoyed our stay in La Pinede. The house is charming, set in a lovely garden with swimming pool where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The owner, Christine, is a lovely lady who made us feel very welcome with a gift of local wine and fresh vegetables from her garden. We will definitely book this house again.
