Overview
Hôtel Grand Monarque is an 18th-century post house, located at the heart of the Loire Valley in Azay-le-Rideau, 150 metres from its famous castle. It features a lounge bar. The hotel with stone walls and exposed beams .The spacious guest rooms are uniquely decorated with antique furnishings and each have a private bathroom. All rooms have free Wi-Fi connection. A daily buffet breakfast is served daily at a surcharge. Free parking is available nearby, and private parking is available upon request for guests exploring the Indre-et-Loire region by car. Tours Val de Loire Airport is 35 km away. Bike storage is available on site and several cycling paths can be found in the area.

“Everything was great.”
Very comfortable hotel, very clean. The staff was very helpful. The buffet for breakfast was really god. There is a secure car park for 7€ a day which is quite handy as it’s difficult to find parking space in Azay-le-Rideau. The castle is a 5-minute walk and there are some nice restaurants within walking distance.

“A grand place to stay.”
As well as very comfortable accommodation, there was an excellent place for bicycles. The breakfast was expensive, but exceptionally good and varied., and there were healthy options too.

“Fabulous hotel”
Love this hotel. Azay le Rideau is a great place to stay in the Loire. The hotel is in the centre and walking distance from the Chateau. Am a repeat customer, have stayed a few times now and have brought various friends with me. I love the staff, they are so helpful and friendly, love the rooms,, the beds are super comfy! It's quiet at night too. Parking is easy. Highly recommend, breakfast is great too. Great place to base yourself in the Loire.

“Beautiful hotel in the middle of a stunning hamlet”
Loved this hotel. A very warm welcome from the manager. We had a dog friendly room which was perfect for our overnight stay. Lovely decor and quality bedding. The hotel is situated right in the village surrounded by little boutiques and bistros. I wish we were staying here longer but we would definitely book here again.

“Remarkable”
The hotel’s style combines the charm of an old 1800s building with a beautiful modern and well-renovated exterior. Part of the old building is still visible, and there are e-changers for parking. The staff is excellent, friendly, and helpful.

“Great place to stay in Azay-le-Rideau”
I have stayed at this hotel many times, it's fabulous and I will always come back. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Rooms are lovely, beds are super comfy. The location is great, everything is walking distance, the Chateau is 5 mins walk, lots of places to eat or just have a drink and parking is easy. Bar is very nice as well, nice wine list, breakfast is lovely. Whether you are on a break or there for work, I can't recommend highly enough.

“We stayed here on our way to Bordeaux and loved it so much that we booked it for our return journey home a week later.”
The hotel is in the centre of a beautiful little town. There are shops, bars and restaurants within a two minute walk. The room was immaculately clean. Staff wonderful and the private parking was great.
