You need a car, but the benefits are many. There's a beach you're allowed to access (where we found pieces of New Zealand jade) which is great to walk along. The house is comfortable and well-appointed, and we really appreciated the access to a washing machine. The shower is hot, the beds are comfortable. We loved our stay!

Lovely to find bread, condiments and fruit available for our use at breakfast. We had poor weather so we didn’t sit outside but the house was very comfortable and warm. Large area to park the cars and not far from the beach ( can walk a few hundred metres) or town ( need to drive).Beautiful setting and such a pretty garden to look out at. Would definitely recommend this house to others.

Stunning cottage and the most beautiful and peaceful beach not to far to walk too. So take care turning into the driveway on arrival from Hokitika.

This place was amazing! Private, also was fully equipped with everything, including breakfast, which worked out well for our team.Because we all come in different directions. We were given late check out at no extra charge and the host i messaged was more than amazing with all my requests. Honestly 10/10

Returned to this lovely cottage with family visiting from overseas, to show them and stay at this spacious home - they loved Mont’s Cottage as much as we do :-)

The host was friendly and easy to contact, which made everything feel relaxed from the start. Getting to the property and letting ourselves in was a breeze thanks to the clear directions. The place itself was spotless, cozy, and packed with thoughtful little extras that really made us feel at home. We enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again!
