“An extremely comfortable hotel in a stunning location.”

Beautifully clean and modern hotel in a lovely position.The food in the restaurant was excellent. The swimming pools although a little cold were really impressive. Our suite was large and comfortable with an excellent bathroom with nice extra toiletries even suncream! For our dogs there was a beautiful park directly opposite and a stunning river for them to swim safely in.

Superb location with peace and quiet guaranteed! Beautiful sounds of birds and river. Very comfy room, immaculate, with avene products given in the bathroom. Clean and beautiful swimming pool. We loved the breakfast choices.

Only one real fault, dinner! The food combination really didn't work and portions were really small.

As you may know Avene is quite remote However that’s where beauty prevails. I suggest hiring a car as there’s plenty of free parking around the hotel. A taxi from Montpelier airport cost around 160 euros. You may also take a shuttle however it’s only once a week I think. The place is of such beauty. Nature at its finest. The hotel has great faculties. Indoor and outdoor swimming pool, gym that’s uses technogym equipment. A very clean hotel. Clinical to be precise. The buffet starts from 6.30am - 10.30am. It has quite a variety. If your fussy with food then I would meal prep if I was you. The food can be limited however the restaurant has great food. There aren’t a lot of shops nearby. There’s a very small grocery store and literally 1/2 eat out places. The hotel has electric bikes to hire which is very reasonably priced. Celine, Carole and others speak perfect English and so there isn’t a language barrier. The staff in the hotel literally cater for you with care and get to the fine detail. They literally go out their way. They give you all the help necessary as they know they want you at ease. A lot of people come in for treatments at the Avene thermal centre and may I just outline that the treatments are great. Anyone with skin conditions or even just to rejuvenate the body and mind should visit this place. the hotel has a pool table. A bar area. A outdoor area. Various other seating areas for you to commence with your work. There’s also hike programmes and much more.

“Lovely hotel but disappointing stay due to overly warm room”

3rd floor room, 315; staff: friendly and helpful, speaks English There were two requests when booking: on-site parking and air conditioned room. Providing a bit of caution on the latter: their rooms are air conditioned to no cooler than 25°C. My room got warmer after check-in and was ultimately at 26.3 which equates to about 79°F. This is with the window shades pulled and all the lights off so as to not create additional heat (on a day in the region that saw temps into the upper 90s and above). I requested the temp be changed but management said it impossible. I then requested a fan, (there was no air circulation in the room). They provided one. When I asked, they were helpful, I’ll give them that, but to not have a Plan B in place for an overly warm room I found disheartening. That and the fact that they didn't offer a fan, I had to request it. I absolutely cannot believe this has never happened before nor do I believe I am the only person who requested a temperature change. While it is a very nice hotel in a lovely rural setting that offers fine amenities, I am glad I only stayed one night. I would not have been pleased to spend more than that in what was a very pleasant room with an uncomfortable temperature. Check out is at 12 noon. Pool with a wading pool. Note that Selina at the front desk during the day is enormously kind, patient and helpful during my stay. She definitely went the extra mile to assist with messages from a family member. Guests receive a bottle of their spring water than can be refilled many times during your stay. Avene products provided in the room are a nice touch too. Remote control shades. Upscale dining offered for dinner, also a wide variety of choices for breakfast. I found the evening waitstaff in the restaurant seemingly rushed or hurried.

The hotel is situated in a peaceful and beautiful park with a nice river, surrounded by the forest. Rooms are large, clean and very comfortable with a nice private terrace. An effort is made for serving local food and beverages, which is very appreciated. As an example, the bar offers nice local beers! Inside and outside pools are clean, modern and pleasant. The park offers a tennis court, a small football pitch, a mini-golf and a kids' park.
