The property is very beautiful and in a great location with easy access the town centre and only a 15-20 minute walk down to the riverside. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was superb. Our host was very friendly and took good care of us, with excellent communications in advance of our arrival.

Friendly host. Interesting old house with use of comfortable sitting room in addition to room rented. Very quiet. Good breakfast. Advise parking in underground "Parking de l'Arquebuse" by CGR Cinema (free and plenty of space) on arrival and walk to property(about 3-4minutes walk). Parking on street near property very restricted and only a couple of places at the property which may be already taken.

Amazing property hidden in the old part of Auxerre, we were made very welcome and loved the eclectic decor .Good breakfast. Our stay was too short to enjoy the garden and pool but loved the views.

Charming and unique. If you like quirky , then this is the place for you. The bed and bedlinen were exceptional.

A lovely hotel. Although it is virtually in the centre of town, it feels like it’s in the countryside. The host could not have been more welcoming, and I enjoyed the communal breakfasts.

A historic mansion in the heart of the historic city of Auxerre, furnished in a homely, quirkily tasteful style. A warmly welcoming host, a warmly welcoming dog, a quintessentially feline cat, and a generous breakfast featuring, among other delicacies, home-made fig jam. What more could you ask for? Off-street parking, tick. Covered swimming pool, tick. Full-size bath with plentiful supply of piping hot water, tick. This is the sort of place that makes travelling a pleasure.

The non Hotel feel of staying in a beautiful historic house and someone's home with well proportioned rooms throughout Damian was an excellent & attentive host along with Cyrus the friendly dog Lovely evenings spent on garden terrace with views towards the church, as good as located in centre of town with easy free parking a 3 minute walk away
