“Microtel is not as advertised on booking websites, BEWARE.”
Booking website I used showed a completely different scene of the room I chose. I booked at this hotel because on Booking.com it said there was a whirlpool bathtub, which was the only reason I choose the room. For some reason, despite me purchasing the selection with this feature, when I told the front desk they didn't give any accomodation , display understanding, and instead persisted I provide the proof. This ended up being impossible because the website had changed, or somehow I paid for a room at this hotel under the wrong page, which wouldn't be possible since I ended up having a reservation at Microtel. I understand why they asked for proof, but when I became upset he kept telling me I was wrong and asked what I wanted...I wasn't sure how to answer this, I don't know what they offer... and what was supposed to be an intimate anniversary, ended up being a NOT as advertised. The man on shift was unapologetic and didn't offer any suggestions as to how they could make the night up, even after I tried to talk to him a second time. He insulted me and my partner when we couldn't open a corked bottle of wine stating that "most people don't have an issue with this." we are two women and that was not cool, especially since we felt bad enough as is to ask for help.

Breakfast was good. I like that they had bacon and eggs, not just carbs. Nice pool and hot tub, good staff. Room was clean, comfortable and nicely laid out.

The entire 3rd floor had very creaky floors. Our room in particular was very creaky all around the high traffic walking areas.

“Just a short overnight staycation”
The room was spacious and clean. T.V. was a decent size. Breakfast was good and 24hr. coffee station was nice to have. Also the bathroom and shower were a good size as well.
