Location. Size and space of each room. Access to pool, spa, and fitness activities. The carpark we paid extra for was just across the road, and other than the daily cost, it worked well for us. Instructions for each check in process worked well, although key pickup was slightly hard to find as tucked around the corner from the main entrance to the building it was attached to.

Location is perfect for walking around Auckland - easy walk out to dinner every night. Thoroughly enjoyed the spa and swimming pool every day and there is a sauna and two gyms available also. Most relaxing stay we have had for some time. Apartment has everything you could want and warm and cosy.

“A great short term stay in a lovely little apartment, based in the Heritage Auckland Hotel, Auckland.”

There was no air conditioning, so was stuffy at night which meant we had to put the fan on constantly. You can’t open the windows either. The iron was burnt on its plate so I couldn’t iron my dress. The air extractor above the cooker was greasy and didn’t work either. I had trouble finding where the key was and had to walk to another address to get it, which if I had been disabled would not have been easy. On the plus side, the apartment was beautiful, the bed comfortable, the kitchen areas nice, though there were no mixing bowls to make my salads up. The sitting room area was comfortable and the tv state of the art. The bathroom lovely and clean with both a bath and shower. Washing machine tucked away was fantastic, airer in wardrobe. Excellent location and easy to get to places of interest, car parking available. Nice and quiet, with plenty of room to move around. Staff downstairs on reception helpful. Word of advice, this apartment is actually situated in the Heritage Auckland hotel which made it difficult for us to find initially, the listing does not state this and we had to drive around the roads at least five times looking for the address, this made us very stressed and uncomfortable driving on roads we were not familiar with. I had to park the car and go on foot looking for the address only to discover that 35 was in fact the Heritage Auckland hotel. We were very tired at this point having been on a plane for 26 hours! I don’t like being negative on a feedback, but if it helps other travellers then I need to be honest. These are the only improvements that would have made me give 100% good feedback. We had a wonderful time in Auckland and once settled were fine. I would recommend this apartment to other traveler’s and for the owners to be more explicit in their listing address. The Heritage Building is such a great way to experience the rich fabric of colonial history in Auckland. It is located close to many points of interest and close to excellent restaurants and activities. The bus, train and ferry systems are close by as well. The property is well maintained and has a rooftop pool with a spectacular view of the sailboats in the harbour. Our kitchen, lounge room, bedroom and bathroom (including a bath tub) were all well appointed and tastefully furnished. The hosts were very helpful responsive to queries and requests.

Great location and facilities. Had everything you need to cook meals. Sound proofing was great couldn’t hear the city at all.
