This was absolutely superb. The hotel was so clean and tidy, the food and wine excellent and all the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Lovely setting and good location for visiting Bourges. Lovely big room. All very clean. Breakfast and dinner excellent. Friendly staff. Easy parking. Hard to believe this lovely hotel is only a 3 star. The photos don't do it justice.

“for a pricey hotel and during an extremely hot time period, comfort was difficult”

internet weak,, some rooms did not have air conditioning and some rooms the AC did not work. parking was difficult in area and hotel charged to use their lot. no food or drink available except at mealtime. rooms had no refrigerator and there was no ice available (37 degrees during stay)

A nice hotel, but a little expensive by comparison to others on our trip[. The staff were nice and the food good but no prices on the menu

The cheese board was exceptional. It was wheeled over in an upright chest and led me to try things I'd never normally consider!

“Charming hotel.”

Very nice and charming hotel. Located in a small town. They have a locked parking yard at the backside for €10/night. The hotel has an excellent restaurant where also the breakfast is served. Breakfast: there is choise between French and Continental with eggs etc. The bed was very good and there is airco in the room which makes also the summer okay for staying. I will like stay there again when in the area.

Aubigny-sur-Nere is a very attractive and historic town and La Chaumiere is in the middle of it. We loved the building which is old and beautiful and has been wonderfully restored with every comfort. We booked an evening meal for convenience which turned out to be exceptionally good - really fine dining - but for a fraction of the price you pay in the UK for this quality of food and wine. The service was also great - both friendly and efficient.

The location was fine, our bedroom was superb, spacious and well equipped, lovely shower and bath, quality linen. We ate in the restaurant which was outstanding, especially the evening meal, but also a very good continental breakfast.
