Overview
A working dairy farm, the award-winning Ballindrum Farm sits amongst the lush countryside of Co. Kildare, offering bright rooms, beautiful views, and hearty farmhouse breakfasts. Guests can enjoy guided tours of the dairy farm, and Dublin is only an hour’s drive away. Views of the idyllic grassland feature in every room at Ballindrum Farm, along with a spacious en suite bathroom with free toiletries. Guests can relax in each room with a TV/DVD player and tea/coffee facilities. Full Irish breakfasts are served each morning, made with eggs from the farm, and a wide range of options are also available, including a fresh fruit basket, smoked Irish salmon and scrambled eggs, and homemade scones and soda bread Free parking is provided at the farm, and Kildare Village Shopping Outlet is only 15 minutes away by car. Athy town and the M9 motorway are both 10 minutes’ drive away, and the Japanese Gardens are a 25-minute drive from the farm.

“Top rate in every way”
We arrived late on a Friday evening and were greeted by Mary who showed us to our room, providing us with information about what was available locally. The room was a really good size with a good double and single bed. Kettle, cups with tea and coffee were provided along with a bottle of water each. The bathroom was enormous with a huge, hot shower with great water pressure along with fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided. The setting is in beautiful countryside so extremely restful but with Athy less than 10 minutes away with plenty of eateries and entertainment available. We were staying overnight before an event in Carlow which was really convenient too. Breakfast was very tasty with a selection of porridge, cooked breakfasts, toast, cereals, drinks and eggs on offer. The dining room again is very bright and spacious. Again Mary wasn't short of conversation in the most comfortable sense, a lovely host. Late breakfast and checkout are a further attraction to top of excellent service and accomodation.

“Our stay at the cottage and the B&B was exceptional”
We loved the cottage. Mary was an absolute star in every way. We spent our last night in the B&B as I got my dates wrong and I was glad I did as the breakfast was amazing.

We had a really lovely stay. The location was so quiet & peaceful but yet well connected to motorways etc. Very comfortable room with a big shower room. Breakfast was fantastic with a wonderful choice of fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts & home baked breads & scones, cheese & jams along with an extensive cooked breakfast menu which was delicious. Mary was very helpful & made us feel welcome. We will be back!

“First stop on holiday in Ireland. If rest of b and b's are half as good I will be happy.”
Mary was very welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was excellent. Location was a bit isolated but not a problem with a car.
