“Beautiful B&B with beautiful hosts.”
We stayed at Riverdale for the weekend of the Croílár festival in April - short walk into town so no need for taxis. The property was immaculate. Bed was very comfortable and the room was incredibly cosy. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of variety. The highlight of the weekend was the hospitality shown by Neil and Avril. We struggled to leave the breakfast room in the morning as we were having such a great chat and could easily have stayed the whole day catching up. Will definitely be back!

Beautifully restored home in a great location 10 minute walk from the centre. Neil and Avril were the nicest, most accommodating hosts ever. We booked the wrong date by mistake and they were actually closed for that one day but Avril insisted we stay and we were treated to a wonderful experience. If Athlone is on your itinerary then Riverdale House is a must! Can't say enough about it!

“Great stay”
Very nice bed and breakfast. Our room was comfy and super clean. The host was very friendly and helpful, she gave us plenty of recommendations about the local area (where to eat/drink, etc.). The breakfast was delicious - it even included homemade soda bread! We truly recommend this place for your next stay in Athlone!

“Amazing hosts”
Neil and Avril are incredible hosts. They are warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, and they make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The place is lovely and impeccably maintained. Everything is extremely well organized, beautifully decorated, and spotless. You can see the care and attention to detail throughout the property. Breakfast is generous and delicious, with plenty of options to start the day properly. The location is excellent as well, convenient while still being peaceful. They also have an adorable dog, which makes the stay even more special. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

The hosts Avril and Neil were so hospitable and loving and made us absolutely feel at home. Its a beautiful b&b absolutely clean and very homely... They guided us about the place Athlone and also the restaurant we can go and eat. All in all it is a excellent B&B to stay and feel.at home. Avril and Neil are lovely to talk to and like family...We woupd definitely go again there to stay if we happen tp come again anywhere near that place.

Warm and friendly greeting and Neil and Avril gave us great information about the area and other places to visit .we arrived early from our trip on the ferry from holyhead , we left our car in the car park which we had asked to do previously, our check in time was 4pm so we went into town . Neil went out of his way to get our room ready and emailed me to say it was ready for us early which was so kind of him .
