This modern, family home is located on Roscommon Road (N61), just 10 minutes’ drive from Athlone town centre and 2 minutes from Athlone Golf Club and Hodson Bay. It offers cosily furnished rooms with garden views, hearty full Irish breakfasts, and a games room with a full-size pool table. Each bright and modern room at Alverna House B&B includes wooden floors and its own private bathroom. Guests can relax in the room with free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and free tea, coffee and biscuits. We really enjoyed our stay in this excellent guest house. Our room was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent and we were very grateful as Niamh kindly agreed to give us a cooked breakfast even though we had to leave before the actual breakfast time. We very much appreciated that. Niamh was very friendly and helpful.

“1 night family stay”
The host Niamh made the stay for us, she was so warm & welcoming & nothing was too much trouble. The family room was beautiful with really comfy beds & a GREAT hot shower. Our bedroom opened out onto the garden & our little one was loving the horse out there. Niamh even offered to drop us & collect to the Hodson Bay restaurant after our long car journey. Can't recommend it enough!! Thank you for a wonderful stay Niamh with beautiful breakfast spread 🤗❤️
