“No Staff”

We booked Pylaia Boutique because of the spa and the lovely sea views, but sadly the reality didn’t live up to what we expected. The spa was supposed to be open all day, and the bar from six until eleven in the evening, but neither were. For most of our stay it felt like the hotel was being closed down around us. There were no staff on site and we weren’t even given an emergency contact number. Breakfast was included, but on our last morning the restaurant was completely shut. We also weren’t offered a return transfer, so we ended up walking our cases back to the port as there were no taxis available. If we’d known the facilities were closed, we’d have booked somewhere else, especially since we chose this hotel for the spa. At one point I even had to help myself to a drink from the closed bar. It’s a real shame because the location and the views are beautiful, but everything else made it feel more like a hotel shutting down than one welcoming guests.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I think they got me into the only room that I could manage to get into.The view from our room was fantastic. Breakfast staff were fun, and breakfast did get better by our third day. My partner tells me that the pool was quite good.

This Hotel is perfectly located between Chora and the beach. The rooms are large and nice.

The staff were absolutely the standout at this property! The property was absolutely perfect for our needs as a family of 4 (2 kids, 6 and 4), we had the junior suite with pool. It was modern, spacious, well equipped, clean. The place itself was perfectly located - a short walk into Chora, even for our small kids, and a short drive to Lavadi (you can walk in approx 10 mins, but we didn’t dare as the walk back with kids is quite steep and we had a car, so opted to take it each time). The main pool area is stunning, as is the restaurant and the breakfast is SUPPERB! We also ate in the restaurant for dinner twice and found it to be the best on the island (we enjoyed the Italian for a change to Greek food). However, the cherry on the top for us with this place was every single staff member. A very special shout out to Leo and Irine, who could not have done more for us, they went out of their way to ensure we had an incredible experience and were left needing nothing. They also made our kids feel so special and our kids LOVED them both. Thank you, thank you, thank you! What a magical week we had as a family in Astypalia. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Stunning views over bay, beautiful surroundings and restaurant, charismatic and helpful staff, wonderful breakfast. Used the gym every morning before the beach and had massages too at the start of the trip to help us relax.

The food, the view, the friendly and helpful staff. We had massages which were excellent. Not too far to walk into Chora or down to Livadi, where there are several good restaurants. The apartment was spacious and very clean and the private pool was wonderful.
