“Really fantastic place to stay. I would definitely stay again”

A fantastic stay in this cottage on a farm. Everything available within the house for a comfortable stay. Host very friendly and helpful. Saw lambs being fed and calfs running around next to our accomodation. Stunning walk behind the house along a canyon. Everything spotless in the house. Only 15 mins from a number of waterfalls and not far to other sights worth visiting.

Cozy, comfortable cottage in a beautiful setting. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax after a day of exploring. Incredibly peaceful — just nature and tranquility.

Cosy comfortable cottage in a great locaton, close to a lot of sightseeing. We even enjoyed the Northern Lights from the terrace. There are also some hiking trails in the proximity.

Very nice place to stay, close to all the main attractions. The apartment was warm, with a well-equipped kitchen, and the host was very helpful. We really liked it!

Everything was perfect in the cozy cottage in the South of Iceland. The location is stunning and the host is very helpful and super friendly.

The cottage was nice. Very good location. The host was so nice. Would recommend to everyone who would like to go to see the south or drive around the ring road.

Beautiful house. Has everything you need. Clean and cozy with a beautiful view. The hot tub with thermal water is very relaxing. The location is perfect and is right next to a canyon where you can walk to 2 waterfalls. Very kind hosts. If I come to Iceland again, I would definitely stay in this house for a longer period.

The shepherd dogs were amazing and we loved the hot tub! Nice position to visit the many landscapes around Asolfskali!

“Great place to stay while visiting southern Iceland”

Fantastic surroundings. Has a nice path to hike. House was comfortable, warm and offered a nice rest after sightseeing around Iceland. Host was also very nice.

We had a wonderful stay in one of their cottages. Everything we needed was there. The cottage was cozy and was placed great for trips. They have two lovely dogs! Aswell we loved the pool to relax after hiking and sightseeing😊 We can defintely recommend the cottages.😊

“Perfect place to rest and enjoy peaceful Iceland.”

The place is so quiet, no noise, no traffic, in a farm, the kids played with the animals so much. The cottage is perfect, in size, furniture and distribution / separation of the different areas. The hot tub is a big plus, a bit slow to fill of course, but deserves the waiting time. The beds in the smaller bedroom are not huge, but there is an extra bed upstairs if needed. The kitchen has all you need, including microwave and all basic stuff (salt, oil, coffee, etc.). The closest shot is about 30 mins away, either East or West, and there are a few restaurants nearby (a couple just down the road).

Our stay at Ásólfsskáli Cottage was simply wonderful! The house was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The location was very quiet and peaceful, just as we had hoped - perfect for getting some rest after a two-week trip. Another big advantage was the excellent location: we were able to reach numerous sights within half an hour by car. The beautiful canyon directly behind the cottage, ideal for relaxing walks, was also perfect for slowing down away from the tourist hustle and bustle. One highlight was definitely the hot tub, where we were even able to marvel at the Northern Lights one evening - a magical moment that we won't soon forget. The tour of the farm was also an absolute highlight. The hosts invited us for coffee and cake and we were given a wonderful insight into life on the farm - an unforgettable experience! All in all, it was the perfect place to get away from it all. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back!

The location of the cottage is ideal, close to several magnificent waterfalls and the town of Vik. It is set in the country just in front of a gorgeous canyon, and it is quiet and serene. While a bit tricky at first, once you get the hang of it the hot tub is easy to fill. Hot water is piped directly from the ground and is very soothing at the end of the day. Katrin was a friendly host who made sure that our stay was enjoyable.
