Overview
Situated right in front of the Ascona Ferry Terminal on the lake promenade, Piazza Ascona offers a restaurant with a terrace facing Lake Maggiore. All rooms enjoy a panoramic view of the lake and have free internet access. Flat-screen TV and telephone are provided in all rooms. Each has an en suite bathroom with a shower cabin and hairdryer. Local specialities are served at the restaurant and breakfast is buffet style. The nearest bus station, Ascona Posta, is just 300 metres away.

The location is excellent, the rooms have a great view to the lake. The bus stand is a 5 mins walk away. The staff is cooperative and friendly. The room has good facilities.

Great location for the waterfront and if you have a room with a lake view that just about justifies the cost of a room. Breakfast was very extensive. Room was clean.

The location was excellent, as well as the breakfast on site. Everything is in walking distance, with a great view from the balcony. The staff is lovely, always helpful with guidance in such details, as restaurant deals, Ticino ticket, etc. The room was minimal yet clean and orderly with a daily cleaning service.

“Lakeside room with fabulous view in clean, basic hotel with dated furnishings.”
We took a lake-front room with balcony in November (low season). Situated on the Ascona Esplanade, (traffic-free) the situation can not get better. Breakfast was excellent.

Absolutely fabulous. Cute, spacious single room with balcony and stunning direct lake view for a 100€. Very nice and friendly staff. Direct on promenade with all the restaurants and shops to enjoy beautiful Ascona.

“Excellent hotel in a perfect location. The food, staff and accommodation made for. Wonderful”
The location was first class on the edge of the lake directly opposite the pier. Views from the balcony were spectacular. The breakfast was perfect with some vegetarian options. The coffee was strong we lived it! We ate in the restaurant one evening and can strongly recommend the cherry tomato spaghetti.

“Hidden Gem in the Heart of Ascona”
