Overview
Built in Bauhaus style in 1927 and completely renovated in 2008, the Hotel Monte Verità enjoys an elevated position above Ascona and Lake Maggiore, amid a large garden with exotic plants. The entire property has free WiFi access. Guests can enjoy bright and elegant rooms, some with a balcony and some with views of Lake Maggiore. A TV lounge is available in the main building. It includes an à-la-carte restaurant offering a rooftop terrace with superb views of the lake. Guests can benefit from a tennis court on site. The Monte Verità is part of the Swiss Historic Hotels chain and has been awarded as the "Historic Hotel of the Year 2013" by the ICOMOS Committee. You can park your car for free on site.

“We had a wonderful stay, most incredible views from the room”

“Nature, Tranquility, and Exceptional Service”
A wonderful hotel located on a scenic hilltop, offering breathtaking views of the lake and the surrounding region. The peaceful and green setting is perfect for relaxing walks and enjoying nature. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean, and the food was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was especially impressive – rich and varied. Hotel Monte Verità exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend it and will definitely return for a longer stay.

The staff were particularly kind and helpful...we arrived very late with 3 days and we had got lost and were flustered. The kind woman who received us was extremely patient and understanding! Also the gentlemen who looked after us the day after was fabulous too Food was delicious and the surroundings were outstanding What a magic place

Nice spot on the top of a hill. Not easy to walk there with a suitcase. Room was fine. Interesting walks around the property.
