“Fabulous view and enjoyable stay.”

The view, breakfast prepared by Omar each morning, and we loved the stairs in to town and back - it was great exercise. If you want the view, then it’s at the top of the hill. Nice to be able to make a cup of tea in our room in the mornings. Easy parking on the premises. Loved Dad’s walking map of Ascoli P. and the restaurant recommendations.

A real B&B with love. Amazing location, a bit out of the city centre but very much worth it. Wonderful villa for all art and antique lovers, fantastic breakfast and a wonderful host. For me the best stay I ever had.

What a pleasant surprise! We were looking for any B&B in Ascoli Piceno and picked Villa Fortezza arbitrarily. The bedrooms were nice, the mattress firm the pillows fluffy but the location and view and Salvatore's (the owner) charm and the eccentricity of the house that makes this a special place. His breakfasts were extended and delicious with local sweets and dishes. His English limited but certainly functional (he offered great suggestions for local travel and sites to see). There are steps that take one down to the city center but there are hundreds so some level of fitness is required. All in all, a great experience and great B&B!!

The location was exceptional with fantastic views overlooking Ascoli Piceno and surrounding countryside. The garden setting was peaceful and a lovely place for breakfast.

The breakfast (under a pine tree) was beautifully presented, with plenty of choice of jams and with the option of a vegetable omelette. Service, from the owner, was perfect. A bonus was the art, both in the garden and the house, and the quirky collections.

Beautiful location overlooking Ascoli Piceno. So peaceful and stunning whether by the gorgeous pool or in the gardens. Lovely outdoor breakfasts and delicious food. The three cats are so sweet.

“Beautiful placeto stay”

We had a room with a really superb view and a lovely modern en suite bathroom. Kettle and tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast in the garden was a lovely leisurely start to the day and there was lots of choice. Salvatore is a very attentive and helpful host and kindly offered to take us into the town centre in the evening and to the station when we left as our knees are not easily able to cope with the steps. (There is also a free Navetta (shuttle bus) from the town which runs during the day and takes you a fair way up the hill which we used a couple of times.) The house and garden are in a wonderful setting and we found it hard to leave. Thoroughly recommended.

Very nice host with a lot of good tips. The breakfast in the garden with the beautiful view was spectacular: muesli with fresh fruit, bread and croissants from the bakery and eggs with cheese and tomatoes.

“A truely memorable experience”

Perched on a hill overlooking the town of Ascoli Pinceno, Villa Fortezza has a wonderful view of the town and hills around it, yet it is a short walk into the centre of town. The garden is a delight and a relaxing place to spend time. Salvatore, the host was warm and welcoming and prepared a wonderful breakfast with local produce which was varied and different on each of the three days we stayed there. The Villa has aeclectic decor and some interesting artwork throughout.

“Extraordinary house in perfect location”

The owner is very friendly and attentive, we highly apprecited the welcome with a traditional caffè Meletti. The breakfast was rich and diversified. Room was clean and had everything we needed, altough it is on the smaller side. The house (and the beautiful garden with the view over the town) is so cool, it‘s like out of a movie. Really unique yet cosy. The old center is very near by foot and there is a parking space at the location. 2 thumbs up.
