“Unique experience in Japanese house in the countryside”
It is new and clean inside, very special with artworks and well equipped kitchen, nice paper rolls and nice coffee machine, for someone coming from Australia, a lot of things inside reminded me of home. The owner was also nice and came say hi. Quiet and safe just next to the police station.

“cold, poorly designed for guests, not clean”
1. not cleaned fully, in fact see attached photo of a small light bracelet that was just beside the bed, indicating that no one vacuumed the avocado green carpet; this was in addition to the pubic hairs in the shower stall; my conclusion no one is cleaning this place properly between guests; this is very unusual for Japan which is generally very clean 2. advertisement on Booking.com indicates that breakfast is provided - this is misleading; I realize it says in fine print that this is not prepared for the guest but in Japan most ryokans and other small inns, do provide proper breakfast, so leaving 0.5 L of milk in the fridge with some yoghurt, 4 CostCo juice boxes, 6 slices of bread, banana and oranges is hardly breakfast 3. layout of the house is ridiculous and not designed for use at all - it looks like a bar with an art gallery middle section, a powder room, 2 bedrooms with ensuites; however the bedrooms have no closet space, 2-4 drawers in cheap Ikea drawers, no place to put anything 4. freezing cold - impossible to heat the place without pushing to 30degC and even then the temperature will drop in 10 min based on the gaps between window panes - overall very uncomfortable, NOT recommended

“Excellent place.”
Great place. Very comfortable and clean. The host was helpful and friendly. Breakfast things were provided ( juice,eggs, coffee pods and bread).
