Very spacious accommodation with a generally well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds with electric blankets. A lovely north facing enclosed verandah that catches the sun. Next door to a great patisserie and walking distance to town centre.

Instructions were very clear for check in and our guests were very satisfied with the property. Would book again.

Our family recently stayed at Merchant’s Nook for four nights and absolutely loved the cottage. It was incredibly charming and comfortable, with plenty of space for us to relax and spread out. It truly felt like a home away from home. Douglas was a thoughtful and generous host. We arrived to find chocolate and wine in the fridge, which was such a lovely surprise after travelling. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with a great range of pantry items, and we even enjoyed picking a fresh tomato from the back garden to use. The location is fantastic, with a great local pub across the road and a patisserie next door. We highly recommend Merchant’s Nook to anyone looking for a comfortable, well appointed and welcoming stay. Thank you, Douglas, for a wonderful experience.

Bigger than expected. A small house, rather than an apartment. Great access and private parking. Nice touches including bottle of wine, milk tea coffee etc. Very friendly and approachable host.

Loved the modern set up with furnishings. Loved the wifi and comforts. Beds were comfortable. Spacious which was great for a group to have space alone. Location wise was great - while a tad out of the centre of town, it has an excellent cafe next door and pub across the road.

Very clean and comfortable with plenty of space for a family of four to spread out. There was even a desk in the second living area for my son who is in year 12 to work on assessments in a quiet, comfortable space. Kitchen and laundry were well equipped including an outdoor drying space for washing. Good location, quiet but also next door to the best cafe in Armidale. I would definitely recommend this place to friends looking for accommodation in Armidale.
