La Malvasia is a place where you feel at home and want to return – a house with soul and excellent design, surrounded by open spaces with Canarian plants. We loved it, were warmly welcomed, and a big bonus was the little cat that lives on the property and stayed with us for a week. We will definitely be back!

The location is lovely and just a few 100 metres from the small but charming pueblo of Arico Viego. Pool and gardens are a delight, and the wood burner made the evenings cosy.

It was so peaceful and relaxing. The pool was warm enough to swim every day in late March. There's plenty of outdoor space shared with the adjacent villa plus your own private garden at Lagar It's nice and remote in a rural and rugged location but there's a shop in the village and a couple of restaurants If needed. The owner was very helpful sending a map pin that could be given to a taxi. If you are looking for peace and slow living, I'd highly recommend it.

Great apartment - well furnished, with lots of space and comfortable beds. Lovely setting and views, with a very nice pool and outside seating areas. Overall great place to stay, really quiet but also close to lots of beaches and things to do.

“A supremly relaxing place with huge character and style.”

We were overwhelmed by the spacious, immaculately presented accommodation and the peaceful well tended garden that surrounded it. The pool is shared with the residents of the adjacent apartments but there was plenty of privacy throughout the complex. We were able to relax fully on the shared patio in front of the properties and in the private garden/yard at the back. Inside, the kitchen area was well provided with equipment for self catering. The location of the complex is perfect, there are views to the sea, which is 5 km away and easy access to many beaches along the coast, using the main TR1 highway. It is also an easy walk into the village where there is a small shop and a few restaurants etc. Cristina is an excellent host and very responsive to questions etc. Overall I cannot fault the place and would definitely go there again

“La Malvasia”

La Malvasia is somewhat quiet and remote from the tourist hotspots, but at the same time it is centrally located on the island. It is accessible via good roads and you are quickly on the highway for your trip. We were welcomed with a tasty omelette on the first day which was very nice. We received tips and therefore had a nice meal at the 70s bar. The house is spacious and well equipped in terms of appliances and electronics. The kids had a lot of fun in the pool which we mostly had to ourselves. They also enjoyed playing hide and seek around the house. In short, a good and nice stay, Tenerife is highly recommended.

Fantastic location in former Bodega. Great views across to classic old Canary village of Arico Viejo and of course to the sea. Nicely warmed pool to make it just a little warmer than the sea, which we swam in regularly down at El Poris (just 10 mins away). Very spacious (much more than you think from online), great sized bedrooms and comfortable beds all with their own bathroom. Our apartment was called Lagar. Lots of outside space for sitting, lounging in the sun and eating. Sun rises and hits the terrace very quickly in the morning that we had breakfast outside even in early February. WIFI is excellent
