Overview
Complejo La Cigüeña is a large complex located in the Sureste Nature Reserve, 25 km outside Madrid. It offers an outdoor pool and stylish bungalows with a hydromassage shower. Each modern bungalow is equipped with air conditioning, heating and a flat-screen TV. Each one includes design features from one of a range of influences, from Japanese Zen design to African Safari. The Cigüeña Complex has 2 restaurants serving innovative Mediterranean food, and there is also a lakeside bar and chillout tapas bar. You can relax with a drink in the attractive landscaped garden. You can drive to central Madrid in just 20 minutes from Complejo La Cigüeña. Here you can find the Reina Sofía and Prado Museums as well as plenty of vibrant nightlife.

“The perfect rural retreat for kids look”
I really love this space, especially because it's perfect for travelling with children. There are plenty of outdoor areas, including a vegetable garden, along with lots of rabbits, a goose, and ducks!

Arriving later in the day, part of our decision to book here was based on dining on site. Upon arrival, we were dismayed to learn that the restaurant closed at 4pm, and no restaurants in walking distance. But thankfully the manager got the kitchen to do a couple of starters off the menu and deliver them to our cabin. Maintenance required throughout the cabin, and the formica-surfaced furniture did not match the 'luxury cabin' booking description or feel. More lighting also required. However, good hot shower, comfortable bed and nice bedding (we asked for more blankets as it was cold and the two aircon units did warm the place up)). The site manager and all staff were very helpful and kind. Great array of breakfast buffet choices (but the hot food was cold!) in the spacious restaurant. Convenient to the airport for us.

Breakast - Good Bungalow - Good Bed - Comfortable Stayed here for one night, travelling up to Santander. The bungalow was comfortable and the location was good. Although we did not have time to explore the area, what we saw looked good and would consider staying again in the future.

Staff were great! Very friendly and accommodating. You can rent bikes for half an hour for free. Dinner was fantastic. Lovely scenery and wildlife around the lake.
