Everything. Location, communication, small finishing touches (personal note), friendly host & hostess, affordable, the views, walking distance (15 minutes ) from old town where all the restaurants are, ski in & out (very literally) - this place has everything you need. Would definitely recommend for friends & family! Can’t wait to visit Åre again.

The view was awesome and we could enjoy it fully while eating on the balcony. The location directly by the VM8 lift was a convenient starting point for all adventures, big and small. The facilities had all that we could ask for, from kids toys to a drying cabinet, and we could walk to Grädda bakery for fresh bread every morning.

“Close to VM8 ski lift, lovely historical apartament.”
We visited Åre for a week to ski in early April. The hosts were very flexible with the arrival time and communication was easy. The apartment was clean, comfortable and the kitchen was well equiped for home cooked meals. Remember to bring your own linens but you can also rent them from the host. MårtenLiens Gård is a walking distance away from the VM8 ski lift but unfortunately for us, there was no snow in the valley so we coudn't ski-in/ski-out. It is also a walking distance away from the the town with all the shops and restaurants. We had a rental car so having a car park was great.

A welcoming oasis in the middle of a somewhat featureless holiday appartment village. Lovely red-painted houses surrounding a lawn edged with flowers. The appartment was light, comfortable and nicely decorated. Nice lake views from the upper floor. The town area with shops and restaurants was an easy walk away.

We had a nice little apartment outfitted with everything that we required. It was walking distance to the town center, railway station and grocery store. Close to the chair lift. Lovely view across the lake. Lots of mountain biking and hiking trails
