Excellent Host. The host was very helpful and welcoming, showed me around the property and gardens. The property fulfilled the memories of a traditional French property in the Countryside. If you like France, you will love this property. I will be staying again.

We only stayed for one night but our host was very accommodating with our late arrival and early departure. He even made us breakfast in advance! A beautiful spot which we did not have time to enjoy but would definitely come back another time. Very convenient for Calais ferry port.

What a lovely place to stay, beautiful setting, excellent service from Nicolas, who came out to meet us on arrival, his English was excellent as we didn't speak any french, our room was perfect for what we required, everything we needed and the bed was super comfortable. The shower was super hot and powerful, and every where was spotless. The room was simple but tastefully decorated, a lot of thought has gone into this property. Nicolas provided and excellent breakfast, bread with homemade preserves and he cooked for us each morning too, a good selection of teas, coffee and juice, an excellent start to the day. We also had full use of the kitchen/dinning area if required, which was fully equipped. I would definitely recommend this stay and would stay again without hesitation. The village has a nice restaurant called Le Bush, and there is a bakery within walking distance. Didn't get a chance to walk around the lake, and there is an excellent vet within 4 mins drive and not too far from the port or shuttle.

Exactly as described and perfect for our needs. Really quiet location. Beautifully renovated old farmhouse - very rustic and quaint. Gorgeous views to the back. Super clean. Amazing shower. Tasty breakfast with home made organic preserves. Best coffee we’ve had in France! It was lovely to be able to chat to other guests in such a tranquil setting. Amazing hands on host too who was very good company. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

“Very different but refreshing”

This is quite a quirky property, Nicolas the owner obviously likes older and traditional things. He restores old vehicles but by arresting and preserving the natural state rather than by bringing them up to new standard everywhere. This is also evident in his building renovation which is a cross between old, shabby chic and surprising. It may not be to everyone's taste, but it certainly appealed to us. Nicolas is a very interesting person with a slightly wicked sense of humour. The price is more than reasonable, the breakfast was great with fresh bread and pancakes cooked for us by Nicolas. The off street parking and the location was more than convenient for our ferry home on the next day.

Beautiful location,excellent staff and close to the lake..

Location was superb, really easy to get to, and close to Calais and Dunkirk which makes it perfect to catch a ferry in the morning! Nicolas has been very accommodating with us, since we arrived fairly late because of traffic and we had to leave early because our ferry got moved. Since we arrived when it was dark, we were delighted of the view we saw when we woke up in the morning! Also breakfast is fantastic, fresh bread and home made jams among all other fine bits!

Such a stunning apartment - very chic with excellent facilities. Overlooks a charming lake. Nicholas the host was exceptionally friendly and helpful . Quiet and well ventilated with great bed.
