Surrounded by hills and mountains, the family-run Landgasthaus Neues Bild, Eggerstanden occupies a historic building, a 10-minute drive from the centre of Appenzell. It features a restaurant with a summer terrace, serving Swiss and international cuisine. The restaurant is closed on Monday evenings, on Tuesdays and on Wednesdays. All rooms at the Landgasthaus Neues Bild, Eggerstanden come with solid wooden furniture. Many free parking spaces are available directly in front of the hotel.

“A very hard place to leave”
This is an amazing inn with a superb host, excellent facilities, incredible food (definitely book dinner here!). It is a very hard place to leave. Everything about this inn is great!

“Lovely, little hotel on the edge of the mountains”
Better than expected. Trails nearby. Easy parking. Room was very comfortable and updated. During the summer, it was nice to have a fan in the room. We had a great dinner on one night. The host and staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would gladly stay here again.

“Highly recommend”
Extremely friendly and welcoming. It is a great location in the peaceful countryside but with easy access to Appenzell and all of the nearby lifts. Breakfast is included, and a lovely restaurant offers delicious meals. Corinne was a fantastic host.

“Great guesthouse in a great place!”
A very well maintained cozy place with excellent food at the restaurant! Great location - close by all the landmarks, and at the same time a bit away from the crowded areas, which guarantees you calm nights. All the facilities are in a great shape, personnel is super welcoming and as mentioned above the food is really nice. Breakfast is simple, but has all the ingredients to get charged for the day. i would like to thank the whole team for our fantastic stay!
