Overview
Angela's Beach Stays is only a 3-minute walk to the beach and features a garden and a sunny terrace overlooking the bay and the mountainside. Free internet access, free parking and free movies are provided. Angela's Beach Stays Apollo Bay is situated at the base of Marriners Lookout, which offers panoramic views of the beautiful Otway Coastline. The property is 4 minutes’ walk from the Great Ocean Road, or 3 minutes' drive to the town centre. It is 10 minutes' drive from Great Otway National Park, via Shelley Beach. All large, spacious rooms either face the ocean or the mountain. They offer a balcony, small refrigerator, microwave, tea/coffee making facilities and TV. Linen and toiletries are provided. Most bathrooms have a separate bath to relax in after a day of exploring. Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 8.5 for a two-person trip.

“Nothing to recommend it”
Where to start? So little room in the bedroom that we had to stash our bags in the bathroom. No door, only a curtain between bathroom and bedroom. Whole building very run-down, holes in walls, rusty guttering. Only one partly used toilet roll for a three night stay. Not enough milk for a three night stay for two people. One mug, one wineglass, 2 dessert spoons and one teaspoon was all that was provided, and the TV wasn't working (one children's channel with no sound.) When the responsible person was contacted re these deficiencies he grudgingly said that he would "tell the cleaners." On the last evening of our stay two mugs and a wineglass appeared on a table outside our room, but no indication that they were intended for us.

Place was comfortable and close to town. There was no one else staying there so we got a free upgrade to a room with a bathroom.

“Only available accom with 3 beds, so booked it.”
Place needs a deep clean. Front entrance dirty, our outside balcony was filthy, hadn’t been cleaned for months, cigarette butts on floor, appeared to be urine in corner. No kitchen facilities, or teas or coffee provided. Cost was reasonable for Apollo Bay, but no excuse for not being clean.
