Our host Wimal was so kind and helpful ! He helped us with everything we needed - nothing was problem. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and typical for Sri Lanka. Location great, because you can walk directly from accommodation to Mihintale rock. Visiting of Mihintale was much better than Anuradhapura - it is magical place.

“Exceptional hospitality and care”

We had a wonderful stay at this resort in Sri Lanka. The hosts were incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring throughout our stay. The food was excellent, fresh, and prepared with so much attention. What really stood out was how involved and thoughtful they were — always checking in, making sure we were comfortable, and giving great travel tips and recommendations for the area. Their advice truly made our trip better. We felt very well taken care of and can strongly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

“Wonderful home stay near Mihinthale monastery”

Everything was wonderful. Comfortable clean bed with mosquito nets. Nice clean bathroom. Wimal and his family put a lot of love into making sure everything is perfect. When we didn’t need dinner the first night he brought us tea and biscuits with bananas. Make sure that you eat there !!! Dinner and breakfast were amazing. The best food we have had in Sri Lanka. Even the fresh juice was the best mix. We would go back anytime.

I had a great stay at Wamil guesthouse! The rooms were simple but clean. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The highlight was the incredible food prepared by the host’s wife—both dinner and breakfast were delicious and made with care. Our holiday is two weeks. We arrived to Rich resort on 30th of June. Decided to stay for one day but decided to stay for two days. Because the rooms are comfortable, because of the endless kindness, and delicious food. Reasonable prices. Transportation facilities were provided to visit sacred places. Thanks Wimal Johan Marzell.

“Perfect Place to stay!!!”

We were received very kindly. Very clean, Very tasty food. Wimal's car took us to show the beautiful places. Wimal took us to see Wilpattu national park. Reasonable prices. Accommodation was arranged for one day and we stayed for three days. I highly recommend this accommodation.

The owner is very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional. We also got upgraded.

“Small, family-owned place with kind owners”

Sweet, family-owned spot on the road to Anuradhapura. The owners are kind and helpful, and they go out of their way to make guests comfortable. The food is delicious and plentiful, and the rooms are clean and bright. We enjoyed sitting on the small balcony watching the monkeys come and go. You can walk to Mount Mihintale, where Buddhism was brought to Sri Lanka, when a king met an Indian monk centuries ago.

The best hospitality I've had in Sri Lanka. The room was clean, had fast wifi, air condition and hot water etc. They also served excellent breakfast and dinner. Wimal (owner) also took me and my friend on a roundtrip through Sri Lanka and we got to visit some beautiful places. 10/10.

“Excellent sleep with amazing food and perfect service!”

Me and my friend stayed at rich resort and restaurant for one night. Wimal arranged a round trip in a very comfortable and spacious car. He picked us up in the morning then we went to yala national park. throughout the journey we visited Kandy,Ella,Nuwara Eliya, Anuradhapura and mihintale. The round trip was 5 days long and it was amazing. Wimal is a really good guide and person who is very friendly and wants you to be happy. The rich resort was really nice with good beds and amazing food. I really recommend Rich resort and Wimal as a guide, I couldn’t be more happy with our stay and round trip!
