“Wonderful stay”

We had a great stay here. We were visiting during Vesak Poya, so the city was very crowded and busy, but the hosts were incredibly helpful from the beginning. They helped us arrange bike rental and gave us useful advice about getting around and recommended places to see. Renting the bikes was honestly one of the best parts of our trip, and it made it really easy to reach the Old Town. The food was delicious as well. We both have food allergies, and the hosts took them very seriously. They were careful with the ingredients and prepared meals we could enjoy without worrying, which we really appreciated. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and everything was well looked after. What we will remember most, though, is the kindness of the hosts. They were always ready to help with anything we needed and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable. We would happily stay here again.

Very knowledgeable about tours and attractions, arranged to take me around the main sites, in an air-conditioned car, with an esky of cold water and even dropped me off at the station!

“Good value and good access to Anuradhapura”

Anuradhapura is a nice little city. Goalma Family Resort is well-located with just a 30 minute walk to the nearby Kunbichchan Lake and the new town area. Anil made arrangements for me to get a tuk tuk tour of the ancient city and was ready and willing to help me book other excursions as well. The wifi isn't great, but that's pretty normal for the entire island with only a few exceptions. I often opted to just use my cell data. Breakfasts were quite sufficient and the property offered all that I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure decent. I'd call this place very good value for money. I'll be pleased to return the next time I'm through Anuradhapura.

Lovely clean and comfortable room, helpful and friendly owners. The evening meal we ate there was amazing- real home cooked authentic Sri Lankan food and the service was exceptional. Lady host was so lovely and an amazing cook

WARNING please do not stay here. the owner is a CRiMINAL who stole my ADHD and pain medication. A liar, a crook, a thief and a pushy horrible man.

What fabulous hospitality from the Host! From the moment we made our first enquiry, to turning up and through out our stay , he was incredibly helpful and so very pleasant! Good location with a walk or TukTuk to town and places of interest. Clean and comfortable rooms, added bonus was the A/C !!! Booked breakie and glad we did!!! The whole stay was AMAZING!!!!! Loved it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED xxx

The staff were wonderful and communicative and relaxed and helpful. It’s a beautiful house with lovely gardens and a great restaurant with home cooked meals. It’s quiet but close to everything. Nail - the owner is so much fun and loves cricket!

Nice family run place and really attentive owners. The breakfast was exceptional, the best we've had in Sri Lanka. We also hired bikes to cycle around the old city area (would only do this if youre confident on a bike) and we did a Safari with them which was great.

Nice and cute little stop off in Anuradhapura, the price seemed to match the facilities. Owner seems really nice, pretty laid back and chill! Room was clean and comfortable with a mosquito net. Welcomed with a nice little refreshing drink! Ideal for a night or 2.

“A Quiet, Comfortable Stay”

The Good: Location: Great spot, just outside the busiest parts of town. Host: Nilmini was an exceptionally friendly and helpful host, who even arranged a tuk-tuk for our sightseeing. Cleanliness: Both the room and bathroom were small but very clean. Sleep Quality: Despite being on a suburban road, the thick walls and effective AC made for a wonderfully quiet and cool night. Shower: Excellent water pressure and temperature. Breakfast: Absolutely delicious!
