“Charming and relaxing retreat in Fuerteventura's interior”

A wonderful retreat in the centre of Fuerteventura, tranquil and relaxing. A converted farm, it almost felt like a homestay: the rooms are arranged around a charming courtyard with lots of seating and guests have free use of the large old kitchen to prepare meals, so in the evenings people would come and go and have their meals outside (each room also has shelf and fridge space to store things in the larder). The hosts were very friendly and attentive and I also loved taking my morning coffee on one of the deckchairs in the garden surrounded by cactuses. The location is a bit remote so it's most convenient if you have a car but the town of Antigua is just a 15-min walk away with a supermarket and bakery. And the coast is a half-hour drive away. I cannot recommend Hotel Rural Era de la Corte strongly enough: I absolutely loved it there and would gladly return.

Relaxing, comfortable, clean, quiet, picturesque. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The catering and kitchen facilities were excellent. Very thoughtful in providing what might be needed when on a self catering holiday. No frills as not needed. We didn’t use the inside lounge areas as the weather was good in the evenings but even these rooms were beautifully set out.

Extremely beautiful property. Lots of space to relax and chill after a long day exploring the island. The shared kitchen is large and well equipped and a pleasure to use. The host is extremely friendly and gave us lots of recommendations regarding food and activities. Located in the center of the island, so it is a good base if you have a car and plan to explore the whole island (provided you don’t mind driving 1h+ to the extreme edges of the island)

The hotel itself is just beautiful. The structure, the garden and the interiors are all well-finished to the finest details, making you feel like you are living in a traditional family house of Fuerteventura! We were welcomed by David, who was so friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the location of the hotel, in the village of Antigua. However, this might depends on one's own preference. If you prefer a more relaxed and authentic location, far from the more touristy places, but still with a few cool little spots where to hang out, then Antigua is a perfect location.

My stay at Hotel Rural Era de la Corte was perfect. A very humble and homy place. The room was very clean and comfortable. As I was out all day visiting the island for me, it was perfect. Like being at home. David, the host, was very welcoming and available for any necessity.

It's a charming, peaceful place, spotlessly clean. It was lovely coming back to a tidy room every day. Whilst we were there, the atmosphere in the shared kitchen was very friendly and helpful, despite language barriers - a bit like a very upmarket youth hostel. The building is full of history, for instance he bed in our room was a four poster. There was plenty of hot water for showers. We really enjoyed relaxing with our books either in the living area or out in the courtyard. We loved walking the 2 miles to La Corte for the restaurant there, and back again in the evening. We also enjoyed walking the mile or so to Antigua for the supermarket and maybe a cheeky little Sangria at the bar.

It is apparent that the host manages the property very well and cares about making his guests feel great. The host also provided great ideas for explorations around the island. The accomodation has well equipped kitchen where you can not only cook but also meet other people.
