Royli and Christoph are the best hosts ever. I‘ve never stayed in hotel with such kind and caring hosts! Even when I wasn’t staying at the hotel Royli and Christoph helped me book tours and were there for any questions. They truly go above and beyond, and I ended up staying at the hotel two more times with friends. The sweetest people and lovely family run hotel with Beautiful rooms, shared spaces, views and location. Super clean and comfortable absolutely loved it and will recommend to everyone coming to Antigua 😊

“The best in Antigua”

I am so glad I made the choice of staying at Bärehuus Boutique Hotel during my stay in Antigua. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, every corner was very well presented! The room was very comfy, great hot water/room space/wifi etc.. The highlight of the hotel was the owner Royli&Chris and their doggie Shadow. They were very accommodating and made us feeling at home. My finger was scratched by a dog on Acatenango (it is wrong!! Don’t feed the dog) when I fed the dog. It was a tiny wound but bled, and the dog was a wild dog, so I was seeking a rabies vaccine in the town. Royli recommended me to go to a clinic for rabies vaccine. I went but the vaccine was run out there. And then I went to several other private or public health centers in Antigua, none of them had the vaccine. Royli made several calls and told me that one hospital in the capital had the vaccine. She arranged the driver to take me to the hospital on the next day before we left the country on the same afternoon. The driver Luis was superb! He can speak very good English, so he helped us to translate with the doctor and then took us to the airport, so the whole process was very smooth. I really appreciate all the help from Royli and Chris and will recommend this accommodation to all my friends who comes to Antigua. Wish them all the bests!
