Overview
This exclusive rural hotel is situated on the south slopes of the Sierra del Torcal of Antequera, where the natural aromas and silence are prominent. The decoration and names of each bedroom have been inspired in the different floral species of the area. The hotel facilities are intended to induce relaxation and rest. Hotel services include; a spa, large gardens and a restaurant. El Torcal de Antequera is a unique setting ideal for the practice of outdoor activities such as trekking, horse-riding and bird-watching.

“Would love to return if new beds installed!”
The location was stunning, we would stay again in good weather. The layout and style reminded me of La Bobadilla 50 km away which is very upmarket. The idea of having the dog friendly rooms overlooking a large lawn was very good, and lovely walks nearby. Sitting on the outside terrace for dinner with a stunning view was a memorable.

“A lovely stay in an oasis of peace”
Incredibly peaceful, a wonderful oasis of calm. The staff were wonderful, warm and welcoming. Despite the cool weather the hotel was beautifully warm and cosy, especially our room which they had taken the trouble to heat before we arrived. The evening meal in the restaurant was delicious as was the generous breakfast. I would love to return sometime. Others might have mentioned the access road, we have a low sports car and managed fine. Just stick to the route they recommend and keep going!!

The location is lovely. Beautiful views and peaceful . It may be worth paying extra for a view across the valley. Very comprehensive breakfast. Lovely, helpful staff. Nature all around. Every morning the vultures could be seen riding the air currents above the hotel. Very spectacular. We didn't mind the 30 min drive to Antequera for some really good restaurants and tripper sightseeing. El Torcal national park within easy reach. It is spectacular.

“The most wonderful stay!”
We had the most wonderful stay at La Fuente del Sol! The location is absolutely stunning—surrounded by breathtaking views that made the experience so memorable. The staff went above and beyond, being incredibly friendly and helpful with every request and always greeting us with a smile. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and so comfortable, providing the perfect place to relax. To top it off, we were greeted with a lovely surprise—a chilled bottle of bubbly on our arrival, which made us feel truly special. Breakfast was a highlight, with a fantastic variety of fresh and delicious options that set us up perfectly for the day. La Fuente del Sol truly exceeded my expectations, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!

“Peace and quiet in rural Spain”
Staff were very friendly and helpful across the board. Fab pool and great views across the valley. We only stayed one night so were happy with the standard room but it was a really good size. Excellent food.

These rooms are uniquely decorated and feature a double bed or twin beds. They are distributed over 2 floors. The ones located on the upper floor feature high beamed ceilings, while some of the rooms on the ground floor have private access to the public areas of the hotel. The bathroom includes a bathtub. These rooms have views of the pool area or the back garden area. Most of the rooms in this category have a bed size of 180cm although there are some whose size is 150cm.
