The bedroom was nice and clean and the internet worked well although you had to connect to a different device if you change from your room to the restaurant. About the restaurant they had good food for a good price.

Restaurant is outstanding but should make the menu clearer, at first glance it appear to be an Indian Restaurant although they serve a comprehensive and excellent international menu. Staff were very helpful, transfers good value, room was good. Had a great massage. A little cold to use the outside pool.

The location of the hotel is perfect within walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants and shopping. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. The room was spacious and well kept. Housekeeping was perfect. The swimming pool was a plus.

“Great location”

I booked the Royal Suite ( room 405) which was exactly as shown in the photos. It was exceptionally large with a big bed, comfortable furniture, a fridge, microwave, great bathroom and a massive terrace overlooking the street. This floor has other smaller rooms with balconies and the access from the lift is along a lovely open corridor with nice plants. Everything on this floor is newly decorated, fresh and clean. A transfer to or from the airport is included and my pick up went smoothly~ much appreciated since I arrived in Tana at around 22.30 . The reception staff were all very pleasant and helpful. They change currency here ( € or USD but not GBP). The hotel is just off the main boulevard and only a few minutes walk to a big supermarket ( SuperU).

A very receptive front office though they struggled with English. I liked the restaurant within the hotel. They make sumptuous meals without long waits. The wifi in the restaurant worked very well and they have a good basic gym that can serve anyone who wants to go to the gym while traveling.

I had a lovely experience at Le Grand Mellis. My room was comfortable and cleaned everyday. The restaurant is halaal so I ate every meal there, considering that our workshop was also hosted there. The food is of the best I ever had while traveling; in terms of flavour, variety and quality. I enjoyed being able to have Malagasy food (other options are also available) and the immune booster shots at breakfast were great. The staff are really friendly and kind and even more so when I could not fully understand their French. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and I will certainly recommend to others. Great stay and service!
