Overview
Set amongst tropical rainforest, Samurai Beach Bungalows - Port Stephens YHA is a secluded Bali-style backpackers retreat offering a swimming pool and a fully equipped bush kitchen. It is just 10 minutes’ walk from One Mile Beach. Surrounded by trees, each cabin features a TV, a DVD player, a refrigerator, a fan and heater and tea/coffee making facilities. All offer access to a shared balcony or private patio. The Shed games room features a billiards table, a flat-screen TV and a DVD library. Samurai Beach Bungalows are 5 km from Nelson Bay’s pubs, shops and restaurants. There is a bus stop right outside the hostel.

“Perfect place to stay in Port Stephens”
The staff are wonderful, the location is great whether you have a car or are traveling by public transport, and the staff are very friendly, helpful, and helpful.

“Beautiful location”
Location is amazing- cabins surrounded by trees; I had no car so I took the bus to get around. It is easy, just need to plan ahead a little; lovely owners!

“Perfect, just what we needed.”
The room had e erythema g we needed, it was clean and comfortable. The games room was fun but was looking a little tired. Kitchen area was fantastic, new Bbq, exceptional amount of equipment. My daughter and I love to cook and we found everything we needed.

I was pleasantly surprised how nice this place was, noting it was a YHA. You only shared the bathroom between 2 cabins, beds were super comfy, the trees gave the place a beautiful natural environment and the outdoor kitchen was well appointed and surrounded by trees. The owner was lovely.

Sandy, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming. We also arrived late at night but she was still super helpful with getting us settled in and giving necessary and useful information about the property and local area. The property itself was amazingly peaceful and a perfect place for a serene getaway. Located a short drive just out of town, you are nestled in a rainforest like environment which instantly makes you feel relaxed. It was very comfortable and well priced given the time of year and last minute booking. I would definitely stay here again.

Mark and Sandy (the owners) were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The accomodation was very nice and clean and you almost feel like you are in a little comfortable jungle base with everything you need. And there is a really cute dog :)

“Wanting in between Glamping and Camping! This is it!”
Absolutely beautiful spot. Submerged in nature. What a relaxing spot. Had a lovely pool too, though it was a bit cold to jump in. If your looking for in between camping and glamping this is it!
