“Christmas at Schlosswirt”

The entire hotel is just beautiful 😍! You can feel you are staying at a Hotel, but with the warmth feeling of a Cottage. Everyone seating at the reception (specially Luca) and attending the restaurant made sure you were having the best experience. Having dinner at this place is a wise choice for a romantic- special celebration ( you name it ). Big shout out to the staff in the kitchen who are very talented, you made us smile with every bite!! Branco, Thomas and Sebastian in the restaurant made us feel very welcomed day&night. We forgot their names but the girls in the breakfast were always very attentive 😃! also the housekeeping ladies who cleaned up our room 💕🙏 We were traveling with our dog and never had an issue, for breakfast or dinner. It was very convenient to take him for a walk nearby, since you are in the nature just steps away. Choosing this hotel was the best decision ever! We can't wait to be back :)

The location of the hotel was really nice — close to everything and easy to get around. I liked the area and the surroundings a lot.

“A pleasant stay, but very warm in the rooms in high season.”

Family run hotel, staff was all very kind and attentive. The room (even the classic one) was spacious and the bed and shower are good & comfortable (hotel basics), but we struggled a lot with the room temperature. Even with both windows open (and noise from the busy road) the temperature hardly dropped, very negatively impacting our sleep quality. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay. Breakfast was excellent, dinner was also good but pricey. A few alternative diner options are at walking distance. There's a dog charge of 15 a day, but they were kind to charge only for 1 dog (since we have 2 small senior dogs). There is water, apples, candy all for grabs at the reception. The pool is beautiful and the sauna very well done. It's in the 2nd building across the street but that was no bother. There's a direct bus (10 minutes ride) to Salzburg, about EUR 3,50 one way per person.

Breakfast and location

The Schlosswirt is in my bones as I had previously stayed here over a period of 34 years (from age 1) when the previous landlords ran it, so I'm a little bit biased. However, this stay was lovely. The hotel still feels the same, has the creaky floorboards that bring back memories and the lovely little elevator. The rooms, both bedrooms and public rooms are inviting and comfortable. The new sauna/relaxation area has brought a bit of the 21st century to the hotel, and the pool that is t being built will be a great asset. All of the staff were friendly and attentive but special mentions have to go to Salomen who was a ray of sunshine in the mornings, Luca on reception who made us feel so welcome every day and Kalil who was knowledgeable about the wines and food and made our evenings pleasant. We had a room on the front of the building, so every morning we woke to a view of the Untersberg. This was a room that my 3 sisters abd I always had as children, so I felt like a 4 year old looking out of the window. However the room has been extended and a large bathroom installed which made it comfortable. The choice of foods gor breakfast was large and it was served in a relaxing atmosphere. Dinner was delicious, with choices that were different, backed up by Austrian staples such as Weinerschnitzel.

It is a very beautiful accommodation. It is an old building restored, it combines the new and the old. There is a castle near by, it is not visitable but you can see it if you walk on an alley that starts from the property. The staff is very nice. Furthermore, they are the real definition of pet-friendly.

“Just outside Salzburg - a beautiful place to stay”

The staff is really nice and helpful; The location is right outside the main cities but very close to Salzburg, Outlet and other shipping malls. The breakfast is declicious and varied. The quality of the food is fresh and genuine.

We loved the room it was spacious for 2 adults and 2 kids the interior design of the room and the house was very rustic and classic. The breakfast variety was excellent and was very fresh and tasty.
