“Nice room in quiet location”

The room was clean and had everything we needed. There was air-conditioning and a fan. We could use the breakfast facilities to make our own breakfast. The host was also so kind to let us check in earlier.

“I wish I could stay longer”

Rita, the host and the others were friendly and had great hospitality. Rita had a lot of knowledge about the Island, providing me with good recommendations and helped with my iteniary. The shower temperature gets warm and has good pressure. Filtered water provided so you can refill you waterbottle. The breakfast is very good - fruits, bread, egg, cake - and my dietary (no dairy no meat) was accommodated for. The portion is huge as well so I couldn't finish it all. I felt safe as a female solo traveller and slept really well.

Rita, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. She patiently answered all my questions and gave me great tips to visit the island. She even organised my trip to and from the island! She has a very good knowledge of the Ihla Grande, its history, fauna and flora which she shares with enthusiasm. Green, quiet place. Marvelous breakfast! Great value for low price

Rita, the hostess, is undoubtedly the heart of this place! Warm, welcoming, and always smiling, she went above and beyond to help us plan our excursions and organize our travel to and from Ilha Grande. The location is a peaceful retreat, set away from the bustling center, making it an ideal escape from the noise of late-night revelers. The breakfast was a highlight of our stay, with an impressive spread of fresh fruits and delicious sweet and savory treats.

Rita is an exceptional host. Even before we arrived she was really helpful and kind, arranging a transfer from Rio for us (which I would recommend). She speaks very good English, is happy to chat and she gave us some great recommendations of things to do on Ilha Grande. The Chale is located at the top of the village on the edge of the forest next to the river. This means that is very quiet and there are loads of birds and marmosets in the garden. Breakfast is fantastic. The room is basic but perfectly comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying with Rita.

Amazing host, really friendly and helpful. The Chalé is sweet and 7 minutes from the centre . We loved it and strongly recommend.
