“Exceptional beautiful”

we liked everything There isn’t anything we have missed Everyone was so welcoming and supportive. To get around the island it’s best to rent a car - for that the had privat parking at the property. We were able to use the pool of the house and the garden which was perfect for a nice evening outside

This place was our favorite part of the island. It has a beautiful garden, an awsome view of the sea and the owner was super friendly and made us feel at home. He even shared fresh eggs and vegetables from his garden. Couldn't ask for more.

The wonderful attitude of the owners, their kindness to us, the large and amazing courtyard in front, fixed and convenient parking, the surprise on the last evening, the fish and seafood meal made by the owner that was served to our room.

The Fisherman's House is the perfect accommodation for Terceira. The host is very friendly and helpful. Everything is available, washing and cooking facilities, as well as a very well-kept garden with sitting area, barbecue and pool for common use. The old cottage is lovingly renovated and decorated. The creative artwork in the rooms completes the wonderful ambiance. Everything is very clean. Only rarely we heard something from the street or an animal, otherwise only quiet ocean sounds. It was very good to relax. The dog is really sweet and well behaved (she does not come into the cottage). There are also a few chickens, ducks and rabbits in an enclosure. It was also very kind that there were some delicacies from the island and something to drink when we arrived. The location is perfect, Angra is a stone's throw away and all the other sights can be reached quickly. We liked Fisherman's House and the island very much. When we come to Terceira again, we already know where to stay. Thank you very much!

Very nice house and yard, very clean. Close to bakery, shops and restaurants. Still very quiet place. Host is very supportive. He cooked for us excellent dinner - cataplana fish. All needed equipment and services.

It was a dream to stay here. Great location, beautiful garden, a pool, bunnies for my son to feed, fresh eggs from the chickens out my window. The washing machine was very appreciated. I hope we can return some day.

Absolutely everything was wonderful! José and Paola did everything and more, hospitality was beyond expectations and it would be almost rude not to mention Tiara :) Well recommended to everyone.

“Outstanding stay in a romantic place”

Fisherman's House was as romantic as it sounded! José and Paola were two most excellent hosts, caring for all needs of their guests. We could use their private garden with pool and got all necessary informations for our stay. For our few days of stay, we got the feeling of becoming part of the family, including their cat and dog. Sao Mateus is a fishing village with lots of events in summer. There is a regular bus connection to Angra, the capital of the island, in a distance of about 8 km.

“The most heartfelt welcome we ever experienced”

Beautiful property with a large garden and swimming pool. These are for the exclusive use by the guests. The apartment is spacious, very clean and elegantly decorated. The hosts, José and Paula, had prepared basic supplies in the kitchen such as condiments, oil, vinegar a pack of milk, butter and jam. We were also welcomed with a complimentary wine bottle and local pastry. During our stay we were offered fresh fish caught by José and a large crate of vegetable from their own kitchen garden. Fresh eggs were laid in a basket every day for us to use. We were treated with a farewell meal on our last day. José and Paula are the sweetest and most considerate hosts you could ever imagine.
