Overview
This family-run hotel offers a spa, a pool and great mountain views. It is located in the small Bavarian health resort of Anger, at the foot of Hochstaufen in striking Berchtesgaden countryside, 10 minutes from Salzburg and Bad Reichenhall. The restaurant has 2 dining areas and two bars, and serves 4-course evening meals made from local organic ingredients. Guests can relax in the Cabrio swimming pool featuring a terrace. All was very nice. Very friendly staff. There Was nothing to complain about. If you want to book any massages you should book it ahead of your weekend stay.

We booked the apartment of the hotel since we were 3 adults and they did not have availability. Language is a problem as only 1 reception staff handled us due to the remaining did not speak any English. We had dinner set menu on Saturday which was delicious, the restaurant where amazing and served us with great smile. The only issue was that they do not have English menu which I find it very upsetting in a 4 star hotel. We had an issue with the electricity which was resolved very quickly when reported. The location is quiet and nice.

“Terrible.”
Check in was very difficult as the staff was very abrupt and ignorant. As we had to stay at a secondary location approx 1km away the scribbled address on a piece of paper and when I asked for a map or directions they pointed at address they had written. The writing was terrible and we could not make out the address. We finished up asking another member of staff to input the address in our sat nav.

Just about everything, the pool are was fabulous and so relaxing. Our room was excellent, so comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were so friendly.

“Overpriced for the amenities and setting of the rooms/apartments”
Hotel close to the motorway, so handy if you are doing a stop over, however noisy. Bavarian style houses and apartments.

Jakuzzi in the room. Very welcoming staff. There was something not ok with reservation, so they gave us better room for the same price. Location is perfect for travellers passing by-just few min out of highway.

“It was a joke.”
The room was about 900 m (!!!) away from the main hotel. We had to walk through a construction site and by the time you get up there, you are completely sweaty and uncomfortable. Same with any "wellness" facilities (if you want to call them that). You had to walk the whole way again, packed with all your stuff. The staff was very unhelpful. The alternative would have been a downgraded room, for which they wanted us to pay extra per night. Mind you, none of the rooms had an A/C. For wellness, you had to make appointments with another company per phone (they wouldn't even do THAT for you) which then used a room in the hotel for their service. I've never been so badly accommodated.

“Disapponting service and communication from staff”
The house was big and the bathroom was nice and new. we had our own outdoor area and full house. The pool, spa and saunas at the Wellness main hotel site were amazing.
