Overview
Set less than 200 metres from Lake Åmänningen and Ängelsberg Train Station, this hostel offers free Wi-Fi and access to a public jetty. It features a lake-side garden with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. Each individually decorated guest room at Ängelsberg Hostel includes tasteful décor and furnishings. Bathroom facilities are shared. Rooms are located in both the main building and the 2 annexes. A shared TV room with board games, along with 2 communal kitchens, can be enjoyed at Ängelsberg. It also provides canoe rentals on site, as well as a bookable sauna. Staff will also gladly recommend restaurants and cafés within walking distance. A sandy beach, ideal for swimming, is about 1 km from the hostel. Other area activities include hiking and fishing. The UNESCO-listed Engelsberg Ironworks is a 3-minute drive away.

“I did not feel welcome”
Amazing location with great view and surroundings. Bed was clean and comfortable, bathrooms were fine, hot water available, fridge that really cools and kitchen that heats. Well connected due to regularly scheduled trains and buses.

Lovely classical hostel, simple but comfy. No luxury but lot of atmosphere. If you want to experience Ängelsberg it is the right way to stay at a hostel like this.

“Great spot for resting up and overnightting”
We were cycling from Ludvika to Västerås, needed an overnight somewhere in the region, this Hostell fitted the bill perfectly. Nice hosts, simple room, CLEAN kitchen and toilet/shower facilities. Had an early start, breakfast left out for us. Very satisfied. Village beautiful

“Nice place near Engelsberg bruk”
Nice people. As TV was not working (Euro2020 semifinals...), they released us of cleaning duty :) Great views towards lake, Engelsberg bruk nearby.
