The room is in a great location and offers a breathtaking view of the midnight sun. The amenities leave little to be desired, and the beds are very comfortable.

The breakfast was not included in the booking, but could be arranged on short notice in the THON Hotel. We really appreciated some tips and hints we got at the check-in, this saved our day two days later :-). We took breakfast at the nearby cafe, which was nice and easy.

We were very satisfied with our stay. Everyone was very kind to us, and the room was beautiful and clean. There was even a small kitchen, which was a pleasant surprise since it wasn’t mentioned in the description. We definitely recommend this place!

We were given 2 apartments in 2 different buildings quite far from each other. Travelling with young kids we couldn’t split in 2 buildings, so we preferred to stay in one apartment (where by the way we were fitting perfectly the 6 of us, probably the second reservation wasn’t necessary since the beginning..). Also, a window in our apartment was broken. Considering the situation we would have appreciated and we think it would have been reasonable to be charged only for the room we occupied, however despite asking this at the reception and via booking.com and their customer service, we ended up paying both room. Not very smart..

“Good base to catch morning ferry to Gryllefjord”

New / refurbished hotel (or rather motel), 10 min walk to ferry with luggage. Small but functional single room, a bit dark, but with TV, kettle, comfy bed and small table and chair. Hotel sent check-in instructions in advance hence I stopped at Thon hotel for check-in on the way - no issue with that. Offloaded my bag to my room, drove to the pier and parked my car in a queue for the ferry - all worked well and the receptionist at Thon (very nice lady) told me everyone is doing the same. The hotel was very quiet at night. Whale watching office is 2 min walk, Arresten (best restaurant in Andenes) is 3 min walk. Also, they told from the beginning that there is no need to walk to Thon for check-out in the morning - just leave the key in the room and call the reception to let them know you left - you can do it from the ferry. You need to be at your car in the morning at least 20-25 min before ferry departure time as they start check-in and boarding.

Good location close to the harbour and walking distance to the Whale Safari. Very nice rooms with a small kitchen and everything you need to prepare your own breakfast and get your own brewed coffee.
