“Absolutely ideal”

The room was really spacious and the balcony overlooks the most amazing green canopy. A great spot for birding, swimming and relaxing. Sabu and Mini were ideal hosts and the food provided was really good. They even arranged a last minute trip for us (half-day guided trek through tea plantation) without any stress.

Altough , i was suffering from a cold and chronic backpain , i still had a very good time in Riverbench homestay ! Very nice room , great hospitality , good food and good service ! Sabu and his wife are very nice and helpfull people and you feel very welcome at their guesthouse ! I stayed there for 11 nights and it was a pleasure to stay there

We loved our stay here! The location is great, really peaceful and there’s a lovely swimming spot just across the road. The hosts are very kind, and mini’s cooking was amazing!!! The room is huge too, with two massive beds. I’d love to come back one day. Loved it loved it loved it!!!

Excellent hospitality and a very peaceful stay. Mr. Sabu and his family were extremely caring and made us feel at home. The location is amazing, right opposite the river, perfect for bathing and relaxation. Ideal place for families and nature lovers who want to stay away from traffic and city noise. It was a very pleasant stay...Sabu Sir took care of everything.. We had mouthwatering biryani for dinner and it was our wedding anniversary so he made us a special greeting card...The place is peaceful with a small water pond nearby where you can take a dip. I wish I could stay longer. A heaven for nature lovers..

I liked everything, in particular the balcony with the seating area overlooking the lush valley. I also liked: - the hot shower and spacious bathroom. - the comfortable bed - the breakfasts and dinners - the view from the balcony and the sounds of nature - the water flowing down the river - the kind, hospitable hosts - the arranged auto driver that took us to see the local sites.

Amazing scenic location, with nearby river. Food was amazing. So relaxing and our amazing host was also able to organise a great driver to show us all the wonderful locations. Rooms were very clean. We walked to the top of the hill, swam in the river, ate the food from the trees. Can definitely recommend, like someone else said it was my best stay in India, I even managed to read my book.

“Worth a visit to Kerala on its own”

This was one of the nicest stays I've ever had anywhere in the world. The jungle view from our room and from the breakfast balcony is simply stunning. Sabu and Mini are delightful hosts who know their way around the area, and provided delicious breakfast and dinner. They connected us with local driver Sijo who was brilliant. We spent a memorable day with him visiting the Eruvakilam park, tea factory, and spice plantation. Highlight was a wander through the tea plants in a setting that was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Sabu also organised a cookery dem with neighbour Jubi and took us up the hill for massages and tea. We had three nights and left on a high. Don't expect 5* but the rooms are big, clean, perfectly comfortable and we love 'bucket' showers. Sit on the balcony and tell me this isn't paradise! It was also the cheapest accommodation of our time in Kerala. In every respect our stay with Sabu and Mini far exceeded our expectations. Don't miss this. Michelin would describe this as 'worth the journey'.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was very comfortabele, with nice balcony and two huge beds. We slept great! Sincere welcoming hosts, they where super friendly and make sure you have a great time.

Food was delicious. Behaviour of the host was so gentle. They welcomed us as their family. They helped us for our trip. Rooms are so neat and clean. They provided good facilities to us. Picturesque atmosphere around the property.

The warm welcome and hospitality of everyone involved. They helped me set up a really nice short trip into munnar with the local people they know. They even let me freshen up just before I had to leave. Thank you all for the very nice time I had.

The food was very good. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. It was very quiet and we enjoyed the peaceful environment.
