A great place for Allgäu enthusiasts (agriculture, small-scale farm architecture, livestock, and beautiful, ecologically managed meadows). Lindau with its Bodensee lake is a short drive away via highway 96 (about 20 minutes). Furthermore, the beautiful Swiss Alps (e.g., the Chur region) and the Austrian Alps, with their many trails, are just 1 hour and 30 minutes away. Delicious coffee can be enjoyed in the nearby town of Wangen (about a 10-minute drive) in the old town. It's best to bring your bikes; it's a paradise for cyclists, and the trails are fantastic. We highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again! The owners are very kind and friendly. From time to time, a local cat would come to say hello. Access from the highway is ideal for logistics and shopping. Wangen am Allgäu has a wide selection of shops, including Edeka, Rewe, and Aldi. We were three of us and enjoyed the charms of the area (mountains in Switzerland, a trip to San Bernardino, a train trip from Chur to Arosa, walks in the area and sunbathing on the Bodensee.
