“Great retreat if you want peace and quiet but not far from Amsterdam city center”

Great Location close to the city with great nature

Lovely location, very welcoming guest and a cute spot outside the city to rest and relax. Had a nice 10k jog along the estuary and there's a great supermarket not too far away we managed to pick up some great food from.

Beautifull, warm stay in the middle of pure nature, surrounded with ducks, gooses,... wonderfull! Very kind hosts. Greetings from Slovenia. 🥰☀️

“Not as expected for the money”

The good points were that the host was really helpful and gave us lots of advice on what to do in Amsterdam. He also offered some bikes we could borrow if needed. There is a lovely view of the water and surrounding area. Taxi into Amsterdam Central is around €20 and are easy to book. Unfortunately, the cleanliness let the stay down. It needs a really good deep clean, there was a lot of dust/debris everywhere. Everything looked like it needed a good scrub. My husband went to use the coffee machine but couldn't as there was mould inside. I also started itching a lot on the second night, and I came out in a rash that is consistent with bed bug bites, I have had to see my doctor since coming home. For the price I paid we feel quite disappointed

Very cute property in the grounds of the owners property but still very private. Host was amazing, so helpful and very charming.

Beautiful and charming location - quite space. Kids loved the trampoline in the garden. Lovely outdoor space and some calm places to walk.

The house was well kept and very nice. There were so many great touches. The garden was beautiful. Roses everywhere. My boys lived the trampoline. It was quiet and calm. A perfect three days.

great location, in complete nature although very close to the city center. very warm welcome and possibility to use the bikes from the owner to go everywhere. lovely garden, well maintained and with many species of flowers and trees and with a trempolino for the kids. unbelievable vue from the cottage on the swamp.

Richards hospitality was absolutely exceptional. He went above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable. Can't thank him enough and we will definitely be back ✌️

Really comfortable and cozy lots of thought out into the place. View is incredible, perfect for someone not wanting the hustle bustle of Amsterdam centre but still not too far (around 20 minutes by car)

The host was extremely helpful & pleasant. He was very conscious to ensure we had all the advice we required for our days out from Durgerdam. He informed us in detail about how to access both Amsterdam & local villages by bicycle. The accommodation was basic yet comfortable. The view across the fields at the back was divine, we enjoyed watching the cows come to drink in the evening.
